The "black screen of *****" is usually very easy to repair on a laptop. First turn your computer off by pressing and holding down the start button. Next unplug the computer and then remove the battery. Press and hold down the start button for about 60 seconds. Release the button and plug in the computer. Press the start button and the display should return. Replace the battery. If this does not work, try it again up to four times. No results usually indicates a bad mother board.
If that doesn't fix it, it may be the power adapter that lights the screen.
No its not. You might get it display an image but will probably be black and white as the resolution on the cam is higher than the supported resolution on the dvr
Your tv goes up to 1080i. But it will only display the resolution its given, such as a (DVR,Cable,Satelite,GameConsole(wii,ps,xbox)) has its own resolution and whatever resolution it is at is what the tv gets and displays. Same if it runs thru a Surround sound that only supports certain video resolutions such as 480 or 720 and not 1080 then it will not display a 1080 resolution even if your tv can. The only way you would change the resolution on the tv is if you did it in the first place for some reason or a old school antenna mix up (unlikely). Also just in case the aspect ratio is not the same as resolution so just in case your trying to get rid of black bars or have cut off image or to get a rectangle or square image thats not the same and usually can be adjusted.
This problem is because, when you formatted your PC, you have installed improper display driver of your PC model. This is also because of less capacity display/graphics card.
The problem is in the capacitors used in the power supply. They can be ordered (they are relatively cheap; about 25 cents apiece) but must be ordered from the internet. You also must be good at de-soldering and soldering the new ones in. The bad capacitors can can be identified by the bulging tops of the cylinders. I had this problem with my Cyber Home DVD recorder, and ended up just replacing all of the capacitors in the PS.
cleaning with rubbing alcohol may have aggravated your problems - rubbing alcohol contains glycerin, which may tend to worsen the connections. to clean the connectors, use only _denatured_alcohol or electrical contact cleaner. the only connectors I have had to clean are the two leading to the video head.
