LG Washer fails to complete wash cycle. When trouble shooting, I get a BE error which translates to Loose ball sensor connector or ball sensor out of order
Well the question at the top says "Ball Sensor" which is the "bE" error, and some of these answers are talking about the "Hall Sensor" my machine has both, and this is what mucked me up at first, as I changed the "Hall Sensor" which is located on the stator motor, when I should have been replacing the "Ball Sensor" which is a hinged arm located at the back of the machine totally different part
So Ball Sensor was my problem. It is a small sensor with a ball bearing in it that sits at the bottom of this little cone and blocks the light from a diode. When this sensor is hit by an out of balance drum, the ball bearing moves exposing the light diode which then hits the sensor on the other side, flagging an out of balance drum and stops the cycle. My drum was not out of balance. NOTE NOTE NOTE, my sensor was bad, but it was caused by another issue. At the top you have your hot and cold water valves, one was leaking and dripping down onto the sensor and corroded it. It was just a drip but was dripping right on this ball sensor. So make sure your valves are not leaking or your new Ball Sensor will corrode also

I had the same error code along with the drum "freezing" up. The first unit that was delivered 2 years ago leaked water from the detergent compartment and they sent a second unit. I have only had this unit for 2 years and I am very disappointed in the LG product. LG was no help on the phone and I the only people that could service it were 45min away from were I live. I took the advice of a posting on this website that it could be a part called the sensor assembly (#6501KW2002A) and ordered it from an online electronics store (www.mcminone.com). To get to the sensor assembly, you first unplug and take off the back plate that has 4 small screws. Next, unscrew the big bolt in the middle and take off the hubcap looking part the bolt was securing. Next unclip the two sets of wires on the bottom of the circle you are looking at (the set of wires to the right are connected to the sensor assembly you want to replace). Next you will unscrew the 6 or so smaller bolts to take off the circular piece that the sensor assembly is snapped to. Take it off, unclip the old sensor assembly and clip on the new one – and reassemble. This worked perfectly for me and the part only cost $18 bucks plus shipping. When working, this product works well but I will not be purchasing any LG products in the future.

How do you have your drain hooked up?
I have seen people stuff the pipe so far into the stand pipe that when it goes into drain it siphons the water back. The water doesn't go all the way into the unit, but enough that the water in the 'P' trap moves, gas can then come up from the sewer. Make sure your drain pipe is hooked up properly. It should also not be a sealed fit either.

Yes this is the same Hall sensor as in the WM 2277
You can Order them HERE and have them within a few days.
Easy fix

It sounds like you have a hall sensor failure, if your machine fills with water and then does the buzz thing without the drum ever moving in the cycle.
The Hall sensor (part number 6501KW2001A) has failed. The hall sensor is rather easy to replace, and is covered by a seven year part warranty (in the US). Take the back cover off. Take the big nut off and remove the motor rotor. Remove the bolts holding the motor windings. Remove the electric plug on the sensor and unclip it from the motor winding. Snap new sensor on and reassemble. Usually takes under a half hour. On a difficulty scale of 1 - 10, it might rate a 4. This should be a Fix-Ya for your machine, and at basically no cost!
In the US, find a service provider using your zip code at http://us.lgservice.com/index_b2c.jsp or call LG at 800-243-0000
SOURCE: Hi. My LG 7.5kg Front Loader Washing Machine
Im soory to have to tell you this but i belive it is mostlikley the motor control board and it is worth a couple hundred dollars plus lobour it is the board benith the durm in the front right corner i hope im wrong on this i bet your clother are stuck in there with the door locked full of water there is a trick to draim then unlock the door by pushing in 2 buttons at the some time but i cant think of it right now ill try to post that trick if i recall it latter hope this helped
Hello & Welcome to FixYa
LE error in your LG front load washer is displayed
when either the motor is not working or the control board thinks that the motor
is locked up due to a bad hall effect sensor. A Hall Effect sensor is used in these washers which monitors the
speed and direction of the motor and then forwards this information to the
control board. Hope you understand by now that this LE error is displayed when there
is an issue with the motor or when the Hall Effect sensor sends wrong signal to
the control. Conclusion is you'll have to check both motor and hall sensor and
replace the part# that is bad, usually I have seen the sensor going bad. Please
get back to me if you have any other questions.
