Happened to me. My solution was to fully charge, then hold down power button for like one minute or more continuously. It causes some kind of restart. Last resource, Press Vol Down and hold, then depress power button and hold. This causes it to go back to reset mode. Good Luck.

If it won't power on there is not much you can do. Try to check the output of the recharger; if it's ok so take your device back to the store where you bought it and if it's on warranty they should take care of it, else they should provide an authorized technical service to do the proper diagnosis and evaluate the cost of repairing it. You should decide if it can and is worth to be repaired.
I would recommend calling RCA support at (800) 252- 6123 so they can suggest some troubleshooting steps you can take. If it is still under warranty and you're unable to get it working then you can send it back and get a replacement
Press the power for about 5 seconds until the unit goes completelly down. Power up again and if the problem presist, I suggest you to contact costomer support. Good Luck!.
There should be a tiny reset button or pinhole (use a straightened out paper clip). If reset button/hole itself does not work, try pressing it while holding down the power button at same time. Otherwise, it sounds like you have a battery/charging issue (try another charger cord if available).
I received my 3g model for Christmas as well. Last night, it lost wireless connectivity, froze and then would not turn back on, even though it was fully charge. However, I charged overnight again.
This morning, I held the on switch for much longer than normal, until the green light started flickering. I received a simple black screen a few times, but contintinued to hold the switch on. Then it reset itself and all is good.
So I know that sounds like a simple solution, but maybe worth trying. Good luck. It's disgusting, I know. I was so upset.
