An install gone bad. Something is hindering free movement of the face plate open mechanism. Closely inspect the top edge of the bezel, is the face plate trim ( thin plastic ornamental frame covering the ugly aluminium mounting sleeve) snapped securely back in place? has it been fitted upside down?, is it deformed?.

SOURCE: Display is not working

First try cleaning your faceplate contacts with a q-tip and some alchohol while the power is off. if this is not it you may need a new ribbon cable that connects the face to the main unit. try pacparts.com or pioneer parts or even ebay for the part.

That sounds like your radio is going into protection mode. I would disconnect your speakers one at a time and see if your sound comes back on.

Did you press the button briefly or did you hold it for a few seconds. To eject just press the button quickly. Pressing it for a few seconds is tilt.

Changed battery now radio doesn't display song or artists name. How do I fix this?

Once you disconnect the battery everything that is in your memories goes "poof" it will take a little time for all of your stations to come back. If I'm not mistaken you still have to set those manually. Radio is mostly satellite that's why you get song names etc. So drive let the computers collect data and before to long you'll get to see this names come up again. Hope this helps.

The disc is stuck and the display reads "No disc".

Ok one easy fix to this is to tilt the player while the system is on whilst constantly pressing the eject button. I once had to even turn the whole thing upside down then back and shake a little until the disk positioned itself properly to eject. good luck

My panasonic dvd recorder is showing error screen u61, but what ever i do it does not solve the problem, ''self check did not complete''

First is there a disk in the dvd drive? If so it must be removed. have you tried a factory reset? Press and hold the up and down channel buttons on the front of the unit until the unit displays BYE then after it shuts down unplug it from the AC outlet for about 30 seconds then try to turn it back on it should be back in the first time setup.

Hi Barb22,

Sounds faulty to me, I'd take it back to the store and get a replacement. However, I guess you want that DVD out first? I'm not sure this will work because the units logic board is mostly likely faulty and will prevent the DVD transport from opening. Unplug the unit and press the eject button, keeping it pressed plug the unit back in. If the unit does not come on then press the power button too. If the unit starts to open release the button immediately. It's unlikely to eject, but you might get lucky.

Sorry I can't be of much further help.

You probably have a break in the flexible ribbon cable that goes between the flip face and the mother board. Try partstore.com for a replacement cable.

CD do not eject

I have the same prob with mine right now and thats why I came here was to find the manual. In the manual it states that that when something like this happens you need to hold two buttons for a few seconds and what it does is it resets the cpu in the deck. I had to do it before and yes I was kind of leary of the solution also but IT WORKED!! Now I'll have to dig before posting this otherwise I didnt just create a common solution I talked about it. Ok while holding power/ATT press eject for more than two seconds, and it says careful not to drop the cd~~~DAAA Or to reset the unit: While holding SEL (select) press power/ATT for more than two seconds and that will reset the unit to factory defaults. And this was actually from my owners manual of which I found...

Locked dvd tray.

To unlock, manually press and HOLD the open/close button & the stop button simultaneously, and HOLD them both down until the lock picture disappears.   The DVD will eject when you press the open/close button.

To lock the DVD inside the machine, repeat the same step, and it will lock it inside.
