Hi ,
When i press start the water starts to fill then stops for a second then starts again then stops and starts
( on and off at about 2 to 3 second intervills ) then after about 30 seconds to a minute the michine beeps and stops as if to say that the load is complete . I have takin the taps off the machine and water runs through them no worrys , i have takin the filter screens out and cleaned them not that they were dirty anyways. i have tapped the soliniods , I have done the hot cold test and both the hot and cold do the same thing , and warm . Was wondering if it might be posibly the water level switch ? ? Any ideas please ?

I had this problem - fixed it using the advice I found here; http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=33339&sid=c718bb2d59f889d27d44d7dd5b9db3b1 - turned out to be the balance switch.

Well where to start .....
This brand has a hell of a lot of quirks.
The first thing to try is this : With the power on at the wall and the machine off ,push and hold down the start button , then push and hold down the power button you may hear up to 3 beeps at this time (hold down the buttons for 5 seconds then release) turn machine off and turn it back on and just push start button.
What this does is re programes the computer ,then just leave machine to run cycle

Well i hate to say it but the bottom half of your computer in the F&P has shat itself .
The next step is to replace it, the cost of these units is around $200.00 AU, just for one half.
The only cheap solution to this is if you can get one from the dump and it works for you.
These are a very simple plug and play design so you can't get any wires mixed up when changing the units.
    Hope this fixes your problem.

Fisher and Paykel top loader, throws up TOP FULL and won't wash. Just keeps filling then emptying a little water but won't wash.

First try a power reset. Remove the power plug over night. Press and hold the power button for 1 minute. Plug back in.

Or, the water level sensor needs replacing.

We have a Frigidaire top load washer model FFTW1001PW and wash light blinks and it starts but stops right away. We have checked lock and hoses and fuses and screens and it still isn't working. Any ideas?

This sounds like a similar fault I repaired on a Fisher Paykell top loader smart drive. It would fill up, start it's wash cycle (you'd hear the engine turn back and forth ) and a second later stop. It turned out that a position sensor on the motor had failed due to a small water leak. I'm unable to find the motor for your model of Frigidaire to see if there is a similar sensor or pick up module though.

Fisher and Paaykel Smart Drive 708 not working once filled with water.

You need to check your lid switch & out of balance switch for
corrosion and replace if faulty.
Your out of balance switch is under the big yellow motor controller
OOB switch Is where the grey plate is on this picture.

Starts and stops

A failed inlet valve is not uncommon in F&P machines. The hot valve is different to the cold one, so don't exchange them. Not a big job for a tech to do in-laundry. Good luck....Nomess

Intermittent water flow interupted by solenoids pulsing

I've got the same problem. If I pause the cycle, wait about 10 seconds, and then resume, the water starts normally. I suspect the Cold Water Inlet Solenoid is sticking, probably due to water sediment in the solenoid causing it to stick. I'll try cleaning it and then replace if that doesn't help and let you know what happens.

Fisher & Paykel Smart Drive 9 Pride

Check your exit hose spigot, it may be clogged. This is if your filter is all clean. There should be air for passage in the standpipe behind. Your hose should not fit airtight into the standpipe and neither too deep into it (4 to 6 inches maximum). Snaking out your standpipe would be good too.
