When I print using my cannon LBP 5000, I get red and yellow lines down the page. I have used the cleaning option on print but it has not corrected the problem

Hello,If they are vertical lines then the most common reason for this is that containers for the waste toner of the magenta and yellow cartridges are full. This is not a common problem if you use original HP cartridges, but if you use compatible or refilled cartridges it happens. If you get the magenta and yellow cartridge out and look at the the green OPC drum you would see these 2 lines. You can carefully shake the cartridges 5-6 time HORIZONTALLY and the problem will probably disappear for a couple of pages. If this happens then you must replace the magenta and the yellow cartridges. Post back results here. Hope this helps

Hi, When printing photos, my photos have horizontal light coloured lines across them. When I print the nozzle check pattern all colours match the guide with the exception of the light magenta....

Epsons are notorious for this sort of problem, especially in used infrequently as ink residue dries on the print head; try using a cleaning cartridge, or swab around relevant print head with cotton bud and ethanol/isopropyl alcohol. Here are examples of cleaning carts, there are others http://www.internet-ink.co.uk/epson-cleaning-cartridges/ http://www.icompinkcartridges.co.uk/epson-r200-r300-r220-r320-r340-cleaning-kit.html

My printer is printing greenish with horizontal lines through out

providing your magenta ink tank is full it sounds like your magenta nossile is clogged in your print head. you can try washing it out in hot water, or letting it soak in hot water for a period of time, and drying it out before putting it back in your printer. if the magenta nossile is burnt out you won't be able to bring it back from the dead. in that case it's time for a new printhead
