Camera is not taking pictures

I was taking pictures at a pep rally that we were having at our school.  While taking pictures I hit a button.  I handed it to someone to fix.  When I got it back I took about two more pictures and then it wouldn't take anything.  It focuses and beeps like it is ready, but will not take anything.

My camera got wet at the beach. It wasn't totally submerged, just splashed, and now the shutter won't close. Everything else still works and it still takes pictures and all, so is it worth fixing? How...

Hi the only thing you could try is to go to a computer repair shop and buy a small can of compressed air their about the size of deodorant can, buy one of these and then give the shutter a good blast with the canned air this should then dislodge and sand or grit that it causing the shutter to remain open.

another thing you can try is hold the camera in your one hand and then hit the side of the camera into the palm of your other hand, this wont damage the camera but doing this should shock any grit out thats stopping it from closing try doing this with both side of the camera it should dislodge what ever is keeping it open give it a few hard hits into the palm of your other hand, so that the side of the camera is hitting the palm of your hand.
so hold the camera on its side not the way you would to take picture tip it on its side then hold it like that then hit the camera into the palm of your other hand, doing this should free it up and get it closing again for you.

it would also be a good idea to get the can of air as this will ensure you have removed all the grit and sand from the camera.

let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok

My daughter used the camer afor a school outing and it has not come on since

Try to use fresh and new batteries on the camera and turn it on. Usually, when cameras are used outside, chances are, the lens gets stuck by dust or dirt build up between the lens' base and the camera. Upon installing new batteries, hold your camera with your right hand with the lens facing the ground. Then as you turn on the camera's power button, hit the base of the camera to your left palm.

If this does not work, please let me know.

LG Dare camera resets when taking a picture.

Not sure what might be going on here but I'll give it a shot.
Try using the button at the bottom of the right side of the phone to take photos. The button has a little camera icon on it.
The button is nearest to the "Hang Up" button on the front of the phone.

MY CAMERA SCREEN IS BLACK TAKES PICTURES STILL BUT DOES NOT SHOW TIL I DOWNLOAD PICTURES

You need to press the second button on the right hand side. There is is playback button on the top then the next button is the display (it has a grey box inside of the outlined box) and then the arrow keys. Hit the second button (or middle button how ever you wanna look at it) until you see your screen. Hope that fixed your problem

Problem with screen

hi...
I hit the camera with my hand about 10 times, the screen came back. When you hit the camera, be careful do not hit LCD or any fragile part, just hit main body. It does hurt your hand though.
Wired camera, I would not buy any nikon from now on. Rubbish!

thank u

Take pictures but not saved so i have no pictures on my camera

The only way this could happen is if there's no memory card in the camera.
Easiest solution is to take the camera with you to Best Buy, hand it to someone in the digital camera department, and ask them for a compatible memory card.  They'll most likely respond asking you how many pictures you want to store on it.  You'll respond accordingly, hand him/her a debit/credit card, and be on your way.

You have switched the self-timer on!

Press the button to the right of the displays just under the AV button. You need to ensure the display does not show the self-timer icon, which looks a bit like a second hand sweeping around a clock (with a dot at the 12 position).

That should do it.

Canon Power Shot A710 is

The hand with parenthesis is your image stabilization. It sounds like if your images are turning out black, you may need service.

Try hitting your display button a few times and see if anything shows up on the screen.
