Stanley stud finder AC sensor continually beeps on 10mm plasterboard wall

Most stud finders have a sensitivity adjustment that should be carefully adjusted per instruction manual before use.
Failure to do this results in erroneous indications.

If you have adjusted exactly per the instructions with the same result the unit is probably faulty.

Where/how do you make a calibrated adjustment on a 54-850-001 mictrometer?

Take a piece of paper, insert it between the measuring faces close the instrument using the friction spindle. slip the paper out from the measuring faces. repeat until the paper comes out clean on both sides. Close the instrument using the friction spindle. zero the unit. check the instrument on a calibrated standard like a gauge block or mic standard. It should be right on the money. As far as I know that is the only adjustment required.

Need to replace this unit ASAP and am having issue finding one that will fit. My R.O. is exactly 34". The existing unit shown was OK because of the 33 - 1/2. Recommendations?

all dish wahers are the same height
the differance your seeing is that
is has been adjusted to fit your cabinet height
with the adjustable legs
all units can be raised by srewing down the legs
and back levelers
make sure when you do your cabinet measurements you take this into account

I have a ge nautilus built in dishwasher and do not know the model number it is 7 years old and came with house. need to replace and am unsure of dimensions for correct sizing on new purchase

You can find them on a label on the tub wall just inside the door. However 99% of all DW are a standard size and the difference is made up by adjustments of the threaded leveling /adjustment legs.

Standard size is 24" x 32-36"...you can take a tape measure and measure from the floor to the bottom of the countertop it is to be installed under...and then measure across the front of the DW. you should find my measurements to be within this range unless it is a custom unit.

Hope this helps. ...good luck and good day...The Fang

Adjusting air flow on gas kitchen stove burners?

Proper air velocity over the burner is critical on a direct fired gas unit. If the air velocity is not within
specifications, the unit will not operate efficiently, can produce excess carbon monoxide (CO) or other gases, and may have sporadic shutdowns. Proper air velocity is determined by measuring the static pressure drop across the burner.
To measure the static pressure drop, the fan should be running and be discharging 70° air. Using an incline manometer or equivalent, insert one sensor into the entering air access opening (plugged test port) and the other on the downstream side, through the view port (see page 12 for locations). The proper static pressure reading should be from .625 in. to .675 in.
If this reading is higher or lower and the air quantity (cfm) delivered to the building is acceptable, then the burner baffles will need to be adjusted (see diagram).
Open the burner access door. Using a wrench loosen the 4 screws to adjust the baffles. To increase the static pressure loss, decrease the opening size and to decrease the loss, increase the opening size. The top and bottom baffles should be of equal distance from the burner. Tighten the baffle fasteners, replace the door, turn unit on, and recheck the loss. This process may need to be repeated
until the proper pressure reading is attained.
This adjustment will change the air quantity delivered by the unit and therefore should be rechecked.
