Do you know where the kettle fuse is located.

All kettles have a thermostat inside the kettle between the cooking surface and the outer jacket of the kettle.

only true commercial machines have parts that are serviceable.

Why is my gold medal popcorn model # 2552 machine not heating to pop popcorn anymore?

A kettle not heating is either a switch, kettle wires, thermostat, or kettle heater.

Check that the kettle is plugged in tight, notice if the switch lights up when switched, then contact your local gold medal dealer for repairs. It is always cheaper to repair a gold medal kettle than replace.

How do you replace the thermostat on a pitco fryer?

Drain the fryer. Cleaning the kettle will make things easier. Remove the thermostat knob and remove the two screws that hold the thermostat. Remove the two wires. Under the kettle you will see a double headed bolt with a tiny stainless tube running through them. Make sure that you do no confuse the one for the thermostat with the one for the high limit. Loosen or completely unscrew the small inner nut. Unscrew the large outer nut. Inside the kettle, locate the sensor bulb that corresponds to the thermostat. Remove the bracket and vertically straighten the sensor bulb. From under the kettle pull the sensor bulb and wire down and remove thermostat. Clean the fitting where you removed the bulb. Replace with new thermostat in reverse order. Avoid sharp bends in the sensor wire. Use Teflon tape on the large nut. The small nut is a compression fitting and does not need Teflon tape. Reclamp the sensor bulb and pull excess tubing from the kettle before tightening the small nut. Be careful not to cross thread the nuts. Do not over tighten the small nut. Refill the fryer and check for leaks.

Furnace lights right up, but will not shut off with on-off switch or thermastat switch? checked out the thermastat switch and that works fine.

Disconnect the thermostat wires from the gas valve, if unit still runs; you have a short in the gas valve and it needs to be replaced.

Have replaced my thermastat in 99 cav. 2 cyl. 3 x's, thermostat's are good they opened in boiling hot water, but when I put them in car they dont open up and car overheats very quickly, I have been driving...

Make sure that the gasket is put in right. If put in wrong, it can keep the thermostat from opening. Also make sure that you put the thermostat in the right. The sensor coil or slug goes toward the engine. The thermostat should be stamped showing the proper direction. I would go ahead and buy a new one just to be sure. They are cheap.
