No your neutral safety switch wont let you tun over the engine, try putting a small amount of gas down the intake, if it starts after that your fuel pump may be bad.
The start circuit from the ignition switch to neutral safety switch to the solenoid on the starter might be bad. Look for power there at solenoid or at neutral safety switch when it doesn't want to crank over.
Remove the batteries and externally recharge them . Sometime batteries , in some cases can have a polarity change but then the camera may just not turn on.
Try checking for voltage with the emergency flashers on. If you still don't get anything, locate the wire for that circuit where it comes out the the turn signal switch assembly. If you do not get voltage there the turn signal switch is probably bad. If you do get voltage you have an open in that circuit.
check for voltage at the lights if none there check for voltage comming into and out of the tun signal switch if if goes into the switch but not out then the switch is bad also check all fuses first!!!!
With the radio turned off and displaying the time, hold the MODE switch until the time display flashes (about 2 seconds). Release the MODE switch then quickly, use the TUN (up) to set hours, TUN (down) to set minutes.
totally discharge the batteries [by putting them in a torch to tun them right down] the rechagre them fully,
If this does not improvethings = the repair djop
but be warned it can be pricey - almost new camera time perhaps.
This is most likely a weak battery. Be sure to charge at least 14 hours before using rechargeable batteries. If alkaline, replace with fresh ones. The zoom motor uses more power that any other features.
