SOURCE: How to Network the scan function of a Gestetner DSm635
Most IT departments don't know how. They won't admit that but it is true. You already print to the thing so all that has to happen is setting up SMB shares on the computers and telling the scanner where to scan. Your very best option would be to contact your printer repair company and ask if they have a connectivity or networking specialist that could help you. If they are a good company they may even call your IT people and help them help you. And of course nothing technical comes for free.
I hope that helps.

You should check the all paper sensor, there must be a pieces of paper in some sensor and make the sensor in wrong direction. You should remove all and off the power for a while and the start to use it.
SOURCE: Gestetner c7435 paper jam at fuser unit
It sounds as if the actuator is out of position or bad. In the fuser exit there should be a thin little black (usually) actuator that hangs down and the paper pushes/ lifts it off of the switch/ sensor as the paper passes. If this is pulled out of its holder or broken it will act like there is still paper jammed. The actuator looks like a little ' j ' and is pressed into its holder. If this is seated properly then the switch is probably bad and needs replaced. About resetting --- a paper jam is considered an 'A' code and does not need the machine to be ' service reset '.
Please let us know what you find out.
SOURCE: black streaks on copies. Gestetner 1302 How do I get rid of them
Do the streaks appear when you use the contact glass or just when you use the Automatic feeder?
If both, then you need to replace either the (drum unit) or the fuser roller(s).
If it just happens through the auto feeder, then lift up the "feed-in section" (left side) and clean the narrow scanner glass.

Verify the exit sensor actuator and the entrance sensor actuator.
