You need a powerful AVI to Samsung TV converter like Leawo Video Converter to complete the task. At the same time, prepare a USB device that has enough space to save the converted AVI files.

Maybe you can check on this:

I use a USB when watching movies. The movie I was watching tonight did not finish, the screen went black at around 01:28:05 and restarted from the beginning, why did that happen?

It doesnt really matter as of how many movies are there in the USB. There is a chance that the movie might be corrupted. Just check it in your computer and see. The movie file itself must have been corrupted.

Usb to watch movies on television

You need some sort of computer to watch a movie through the media station of the L2320A. The USB ports on the unit are a USB hub (one connection to the computer, two for devices); without a computer they are useless. Some of the media players (DVD/Blue-ray/media streaming units) that can play a movie from a USB drive without additional computing power. The format of the movie on the drive will limit which device can play the movie.

I wish that I had better news for you. Retrevo has a link to the manual for the L2320A here: http://www.retrevo.com/support/LG-L2320A-Monitors-manual/id/440ci363/t/2/ . You will need to enter a code to access the file.

Using usb stick

First you will have either copy and pate the movie or download it to your usb drive

One of the benefits of putting files on a USB flash drive is that you can make any type of file portable.

This includes not only documents, spreadsheets and photos, but also media like video clips and movies.

If you have movies saved on your flash drive that you want to view, watching the movies directly from the USB drive is a simple process and can be achieved on almost any computer.

Connect your USB drive to the device on which you want to watch your movies.

This includes all USB-compatible computers, as well as some select television-compatible devices (like the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 or Sony Media Extender).

Launch the file explorer application on your device.

In Windows, access this utility by accessing the "Computer" application and then double-clicking the USB drive to display the files.

If you are trying to watch the movie files on a compatible television device, look for a "media," "device" or "USB input" application or button to bring up the file explorer.

Select the movie file you want to play.

In Windows, do this by double-clicking on the file.

The appropriate media-handling program should automatically launch and begin playing the movie automatically.

If you are using a television device, select the file from the list of compatible files in the device's internal explorer system.

hope this helps
