There's a fill valve combination on most washers. On the simpler, cheaper models they're simple to change.
It's where the hoses connect, it's usually plastic, and there is a hot and a cold valve in the assembly. Hot opens for hot water, cold opens for cold water, and both open for warm water. apparently the solenoid valve on the hot water side has failed and the unit needs to be replaced.

easy!the water pressure switch is not working the little hose going to it could blocked or off,or the pressure switch bottle could be blocked. rate me if right Eire
SOURCE: Neptune water level
ck drain hose level ..end should be 30-36 inches from floor also be sure hose fits loosely in standpipe ..possible water is siphoning out after fill up since these are low water use machines any drop in water level can cause problems

I haven’t had to change the water inlet valve but is this the valve assembly you purchased?

It looks like they throw in an install instruction sheet at this parts supplier site. If you have this do they speak to adapting the wiring harness to the H/C valve assembly. I’m sure you are not lucky enough to have male spade connections on you replacement inlet valve. If they are spade lugs this would be a piece of cake to interface too. Looks like a molded connector on the inlet valve to terminate the 120VAC power to the valve assembly.
I called the supplier above and if your machine starts with serial number 18 or above you need to purchase an upper LED wiring harness p/n 1185286 $55 to interface to the replacement H/C valve you purchased. Or you can purchase p/n 1404313 wiring info for $7.50 for the DIY’er. I know this is a bit frustrating. I don’t have the valve in hand so I can’t offer a quick solution. I’m willing to bet the wiring harness they are selling for $55 is nothing more than a cable with proper female/male mating connector transitions to interface to the factory 120VAC connections to the inlet valve. If my water inlet valve fails I would be in the same boat as you but I would make up an interface cable before spending $55. Maybe a more knowledgeable forum member can offer a better solution. Good luck to you.

If your FAV6800AW/FAV9800AW has water flowing water with the power off or water fill cycle has ended then your water valve is stuck open. I’m sure crud in the valve seats preventing the washer water valve from seating. The water valves are sealed units and need to be replaced. I Haven’t had to replace yet but I will post links to the SM and parts replacement link. See this post for possible issue with a new substitute 12002242 part replacement.

It is
possible that the machine does not start off the cycle because there are errors
due to feedback from the inputs. For the program to start up the main program
controller must initiate the INLET/MOTOR/DRAIN
pump/ valve to open up and allow each function to be driven starting from
the flow of water into the drum as also the drain valve to open to exit the
water at the point of the program cycle. If this does not happen then the
voltage at the valve/motor/pump must be checked or the fault relates to no
voltage from the controller. This means
the controller is a suspect. If the
water flows though the inlet then the flow pressure should be good, if not the
inlet valve is bad or there is dirt in the filter. Also check the flow at the
inlet of the water line. Once the water comes into the system the WATER LEVEL
SENSOR - normally a pressure switch- must activate at the preset/chosen level
to give the signal to the program controller to switch on the motor. What is
most important for the motor to start functioning is that the door switch must
be ON when the door is shut or this will be an error for starting the motor for
rinse and wash. Test a
