Error E:01 the drum will not spin

Sometimes the brushes on the motor get worn and they cause motor to act intermittently. I changed my brushes and this corrected the problem of not washing or spinning.

Possible Drum motor, or sensor - you would do best getting a professional in to repair, as self repair on these will no doubt end in issues..

L4-01 is a main motor lock error. More than likely something is locked up, rather than a problem with the motoer itself. Make sure the drum and Developing unit are turning freely. The Fusing unit binding can also cause this error. Turn the machine off, remove the developing unit and the drum. Put the developing unit back into the machine, close the doors and turn it on. If you can hear the motor run and there is no error code, then the drum is locked up, probably due to a flipped cleaning blade. The next area to check is the developing unit itself. Sometimes if the bushings go bad at the ends of the developer roller, it will cause a motor lock. There is a white coupling on the rear side of the developer unit. Turn it counter clockwise about a half turn, being careful to hold the unit level. There should be little resistance. If all seems O.K., then the Fusing unit is probably the cause. Also pull out the paper cassette and make sure nothing is preventing the pick up rollers from turning.

Error code F05 means that the pressure switch is jammed on full.
Remove lower rear cover of washer.
Locate and remove the large black fastened to bottom of the drum.
Remove and clean plastic filter inside hose.
Remove hose onto pump, and check for blockage or obstruction here as well.

To make sure it is not due to water left in the drum, remove the filter, and clean.
If it still does not spin, then it is more than likely that the brushes need replacing in the motor..
You will have to remove the motor to check them..
If they are less than 3 or 4 mm long, then they need changing.

An UE Error Code is indicative of a “Unbalanced Error”. This indicates that the drum is not spinning in a smooth rotation. It may be necessary to rearrange the load in the drum. Also you have mentioned that the drum with full load has no such problem. It means that the drum cannot manage its weight in that position. So the problem might b adjustable easily. Try to remove the top panel and check for any slight movement in the position of the drum. Leaving it continue this way might increase the probability for the error to be repeated with the load. Will add some links related to internal diagrams of this model when i find some that might help you to check the drum inside.

f-01 means there is a motor problem.
may be the motor and/or the circuit board that controls it.

What you have is a main motor lock. Check to see if you have anything blocking the movement of the drum, it could be anything from a staple, a jammed sheet of paper, or a broken drum separation pawl. If you have already removed something from the drum area do a SIMM 14-01 to clear the code.

There also could be trouble with the main motor itself. Check the motor by using SIMM 6-1 to see if the motor turns. If not, check the harness connection between the main motor and the PCU PWB. You may need to replace the main motor, the harness or the PCU PWB.
