BLAUPUNKT radio mute and volume haywire

My radio went mute or volume up/down itself suddenly/intermittent. Suspect shortings. FYI horn is also not working and i have removed fuse from fuse box to avoid continuous horn. Not sure has effect to radio or not. Please advice. Thx.

Yea the got a short somewhere. Horn fuse might or might not work something with the radio. I would say start with the horn. The horn is a controlled short sometimes shorts it self out. Open your steering wheel and work from there. For your radio look at all the fuses that you know work the radio and go from there. What kinda car is it year things like that would help because if it older wires, fuses, fusible links things like that go bad over the years. Especially if you run a lot of power through the wires that was made for that kinda power like upgraded speakers, headunit (radio) amps things like that. Older cars and trucks are make with cheap radio wires. hope this helps

Why 06Tribeca audio button on steering wheel will not (+) volume but it will (-) volume. Also the mute button will not mute?

Suspect a steering wheel control issue if the volume will work directly from the radio itself.

Sound gets muted on its own, volume goes up & down automatically

As far as I know, it has a sensitive volume control, so sometimes the user touch that area by accident.

How do i fix the amp on my radio?

When you turn the radio all the way up to max volume does the amp turn off ? you could have a short or a blowen speaker which is making the amp go into protection mode. i would disconnect all speakers then try one speaker by itself and see if you have full sound again... go through this process untill the sound stops again.

Ford FOcus 03 Radio

Try a full reboot.

Remove the battery (or fuse) for 30 minutes.

Replace ......then enter the code.

If you do not have the code , post the SERIAL NUMBER (usually beginning with M * * * * * * ) found on a label on the radio casing

Horn works intermittently

I would think this would be caused bu a defective rorating contact under the sterering wheel, 99% of time that is the problem.

Blaupunkt cancun cr63 car radio

I'm having the exact same symptoms and have had the same luck online. My guess is that the logic got fried during the "brown out" while trying to crank the engine on a very low battery. I thought I might find something about the "VF" and "SK" modes that it is getting into (pretty cool if I weren't missing my radio stations). I'm guessing they are European bands or something. Also getting into a CD changer mode - funny since this was a pretty low-end cassette tape model. My Cancun is 12 years old. What I'm going to try (when it stops raining) is to disconnect the battery leads for 15 minutes or so and then reconnect to see if that clears out the radio memory (if I could easily identify the correct fuse, that would make the process much easier but, alas, I can't). Let me know if you have tried anything else and I'll let you know if my attempt works.
