I need to take pictures indoors without the flash, at a darts tournament the flash would distract players. When I turn it off I get blurry pictures. Can you help

TRY TAKING PHOTOS SETTING THE THE CAMERA IN THE NIGHT MODE. THIS ALSO WILL NOT GIVE YOU GREAT PHOTOS AS THIS IS A ENTRY LEVEL CAMERA. YOU REQUIRE A PROFESSIONAL CAMERA LIKE DSLR TO TAKE SUCH PHOTOS.

Do the Olympus Stylus 600 includes a Date Stamp on the pictures taken??? Regards.

The date and time (and a lot more) are stored with every picture in what's called the EXIF file. Any photo editing/viewing program should be able to show you this data. If you want to print this information, please refer to the documentation for whatever program(s) you're using to print. Depending on the program and printer, you can print the date and time on the image, in the margins, or on the back.

If you require further assistance, please reply to this post and specify the program(s) you're using.

I cant load my olmpus 300 on to pc,loaded camedia on ok but wont pick up my camera, tried to load it using devices butsays not in right file.checked usb devices, tried to add device but not having it

Consider NOT using the USB connection.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

My olympus FE-240 takes blurry pictures in night mode.

It's you...in night mode the shutter stays open much longer...plenty of time for you to move the camera. Use a tripod.

The camera doesn't take photos at night or at least very poor ones.

Are the photos dark? How far away from the subject are you?
A flash on compact cameras have a very short range, 10' at most. So if your subject is further then that, the picture will be dark.

Pixel problem, all pictures taken have poor pixel resolution

It sounds like you set the file settings to a small file size - perhaps in order to get more photos on a single memory card. You need to change the setting to the largest file size possible, at the highest quality. The steps for this will be in your manual. If you need detailed instructions and don't have your manual, let me know and I'll lookup your manual online.

First do not panic! It is possible to recover your pictures if you take care. Take the card from the camera (powered off) and if it has a "write protect" tab then lock it now. Do not try and write anything to the card or you risk causing more problems.

You can either plug in you camera to the PC as it should appear as a “Removable Drive” or put the card in a card reader attached to your PC.

Next, if you are comfortable with using a PC then you can download a FREE utility that will recover your photos from the following link:

http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/PhotoRec

If you need something a little more "user friendly" then you will need to buy the software. If you search the web for photo recovery software you will find many.
One I have used successfully is RescuePro that used to be bundled with some Sandisk products. Now you can get it from the link below:

http://www.lc-tech.com/software/prwindetail.html.

You can try the demo to see what you can recover before buying.

Remember - Do NOT try & write anything back to the card until you can recover your pictures to your PC safely!

Please take a moment to rate this solution & let us know if the information given was useful to you – Good Luck!

Pictures taken at night yellowihs an dreddish

In photo editing programs there are Hue settings where you can easily fix that problem. There are off course night lens filters but not for amateur cameras.
