The top of my front loading lg washer won't budge despite the screws being removed. What cani do to remove the top as it won't slide back...

You need to remove the front panel there’s 2 screws behind that panel once you remove those screws the top from the front push it towards the back and slide it up at the same time

Remove the two screws and the back of the machine, under the lid.
Slide the lid backwards and the top will come away.

Disconnect the LG front load washer power cord from the wall outlet. Turn off the water supply to the washer at the water spigots coming from the wall.

Pull the washer 3 feet away from the wall, and disconnect the water supply hoses from the water inlet valve ports on the back of the washer. You may need a pair of channel lock pliers to loosen the hose connections.

Remove the screws securing the back of the top panel to the back of the washer with a Phillips-head screwdriver. Depending upon your model, you will have either two or four screws to remove.

Lift the back of the top panel up, and slide the top panel toward the rear wall, which will unhook the top panel from the clips securing the panel in the front of the washer. Lift the top panel off the washer and out of your working area.

The top panel of the washer (model WM2277h) slides off towards the back of the washer. There are two white tabs on the back of the top panel. Each tab has two screws securing the tab to the top panel and the lower panel. Remove the lower screws from each tab and slide the top panel off by pushing it towards the back of the washer. Do not try to pry the top panel off due to damage to the top panel...

Remove dispenser drawer by pulling out to it's stop, then pressing in tab at back to allow you to pull it free from machine. Look for a build up of fabric softener in the filler area. If that is clean, remove washer top by taking screws of out back side and sliding top back 2 inches and lifting it off. Remove rubber connector from dispenser area to top of tub and check for obstructions. (mouse nest?)

There are two philip-head screws that have to be removed from the back of the unit. One of these screws is on the left side and the other is on the right side.

Once these two screws have been removed, you will want to push/slide the washer's top panel backwards (towards the back of the unit). It might be a little hard to move at first, but it will slide backwards with a little bit of force. Once the top has move back about 6" to 10", you can lift the top off of the unit.

The dispenser is on the left side.

YOU NEED TO REMOVE THE SCREWS OFF THE BACK.DEPENDING WICH MODEL THERE MAY BE A BRACKET AS WELL. THEN SLIDE THE TOP TWARDS THE BACK.SOMETIMES THEY ARE HARD TO MOVE BUT IT WILL SLIDE BACK THEN YOU CAN LIFT IT OFF.GOOD LUCK!

Code will not tell which is faulty. To remove top: after removing three phillips head screws (leaving the L shaped part attached to the top) slide the top back about one and a half inches and lift it straight up.

Remove three phillips head screws at the back of the washer top. Slide washer top back about two inches and lift off.
