My car is sliding wen i am driving

the cause of sliding when driving is usually due to going to fast so first slow down. second check your tire pressure if your tires arent properly inflated they wont hold the road properly in addition to that you may be "feeling" your car slide without actually sliding in that case its probably your "anti sway bar bushings" that need replaced

Can a timing belt keep your windows from working properly

Make sure the alternator is good. Not enough power will cause assesories not to work properly. But as far as timing belt if its idling to low it will make windows roll up slower. But timing belt its self should not cause any problems with electrical stuff

The sandpaper keeps sliding off the sander everytime I turn it on. Even when I turn the dial it to tighten it or move it over it keeps on sliding off.

You need to turn the dial slowly. If the belt starts to come off turn the knob in the other direction, slowly until the belt is centered. Doing it slow is the trick.

this problem will be fixed by changing the fuser. the thermistor has been comprimized. the reason the printer slows down is the regulation of the heat has slowed and the fuser is not heating fast enough to keep up with the demand. changing just thethermistor woulld fix it

Maytag performa washer

Hi Folks,

I'm guessing both of these problems are related to the belt slipping. There are several points to check.
  1. the belt tension. I'm not familiar with the exact details of your machines, but the usually have a an extra pulley with a spring attached to give the belt tension. Alternatively, the motor is mounted on a movable frame that is held by some springs. These springs give the belt tension. In either case check the freedom of movement of the tensioning arrangement and the springs are providing the necessary tension to the belt.
  2. Glazed belt/pulley - if the belt has been slipping it will polish the pulleys and this will reduce the friction necessary to drive the machine. To fix this the belt should be replaced and the pulley surfaces roughed up with some wet/dry emery paper (not too rough or it will wear your new belt out).
  3. Belt is too old - the rubber becomes hard and brittle and ends up with the same effect as Glazed belt/pulley above. The fix is as per 2 above.
Good luck
