I have disconnected all wires from the back of player, and it still turns off and says "s-protection". If I unplug it and plug it back in, it will work for about 30 seconds then goes off. Would that mean there is a short inside the unit itself?
But I disconnected all the speaker wires, and it still does it. What inside would need to be replaced?
thats great...thank u very much...it really works...
pls I'm experiencing the same problem, what would I do?

That stands for speaker protection. Either you are playing the system too loudly, causing the amplifier or speakers to overheat, or there is a defective speaker or a short in the speaker wiring (where the two wires are touching each other).

Hello I'm from Trinidad and Tobago also an LG stereo is saying S Protec also and switch off for itself , sometime it's comes back on and switch off for itself again
Hi I am from Trinidad and Tobago my LG CM 4350 is saying S Proctec no sound what is my solution besides a repairman.
B+ over current protection (OCP), unit goes to the standby mode then displays the 2 blink fault. Could be a short in the power supply of any of the circuits.
