IPad freezes. No buttons work.

The problem does not seem to happen in any specific app or for any reason. When you start the iPad it works perfectly then after about 30 mins the picture shows animation but none of the buttons work. Only way to restart it is to force start it. This is not workable if you are in the middle of a document.

Follow the steps below so we can get that iPad back up and running.
Your first two solutions are:

  • Restart the iPad: press and hold down the sleep/wake on the front of the iPad for few seconds until the red slider appears, slide this across to shut the iPad down. Restart the iPad by pressing the Sleep/wake button on the top until the Apple logo appears
  • Reset the iPad: if restarting the iPad didn't work then you will need to reset the iPad. You can do this by pressing the Home button and the Sleep/wake button on the top the iPad's case and holding them down together for 10 seconds. The iPad should then reset itself

Restore the iPad

If neither of these two options fixes your unresponsive iPad then you will need to restore the iPad to its factory settings.
  1. First make sure you have a USB 2.0 connection cable and the latest version of iTunesinstalled
  2. Connect the iPad to your Mac or PC and launch iTunes
  3. In the Devices section click on the iPad icon then the Summary tab and then click on the Restore button
  4. When prompted, click on Back Up to back up all your iPad's media and settings
  5. Then click on the Restore button
  6. This will restore your iPad to its factory settings and install the latest version of the iPad operating software. Once this is completed, the iPad will restart
  7. You can now restore all your iPad's media and settings from the most recent back up then click Continue. Your iPad should now be up and running again...

SOURCE: problems transfering apps from iphone to Ipade

You are able to use any appstore app with the iPad. Make sure your iPad is listed as a connected device in the left side bar of iTunes. Check your sync settings to make sure they're set to sync with your iPad and if needed restore your iPad using the restore button and try to sync again.

To make an application fullscreeen tap the small "2x" button in the bottom corner of your iPad. This will upscale the app to fullscreen.

Hope this helps, if you found this helpful please leave some feedback. Thanks.

SOURCE: Volumne no longer working for all apps on the IPAD

In the latest software update, the orientation lock switch was changed into a mute switch. Do you have it on mute? This could well be the problem! Try flicking it and see if you can adjust the volume then.
You can still lock the orientation in the latest software by double-tapping the home button, flicking right and tapping the lock button. In future versions of iOS, you will be able to choose what the switch does to suit your preference.
Hope that helped!

SOURCE: Unable to access some apps installed on my iPad because no icon shows up on the iPad for these apps

When you exceed your allowed pages for apps, they will still install, but app cannot be created for lack of pages. You can get more room by grouping similar apps into 1 folder to make space. You can also use search function to fill any app installed.Scroll all pages to right until keyboard appears, then type name of app,it will appear in dropdown list.

When i play an app game on the ipad 2 it works for about a minute than freezes then closes the app and goes to ipad main menu ( where all the apps ) it does this for only 2 app games. tried to reboot

Hi,
I would this :
reset the memory circuits on your iPad.
To do this : press and hold down both the Home button and the Sleep button (top right corner) until the Apple logo appears. This may take at least 10 seconds, so don't stop pressing the 2 buttons.
the iPad will re-initialize itself, but you won't loose any data or Apps. It just force-closes apps that may be frozen.

if this doesn't work, you,may have run out of memory. Check this in:
- Settings
- General
- About

Face book freezing on iPad.

Delete the Facebook app from your iPad (press on its icon until it quivers, tap the X to delete it, tap the home button). Then, open the App Store application and tap Purchased. Find Facebook and re-download it. You'll be asked to log into Facebook with your user ID (email address?) and password to continue.

My Netflix is not loading my films/programs onto my iPad2, but it is perfectly fine on my iPad mini, what's happening? Can you help?

Hi
I have a similar challenge. Netflix works fine on my iPad mini and Samsung smart TV. The trouble is on the Apple TV .
I think I restarted the Apple TV to set this right.
Try going to settings -general -reset on the iPad 2 and see if there is a possibility there.

Game of thrones ad freezes and the iPad must be turned off. Can you fix bug?

To reset an iPad, press both the home button and the on / off button, till the iPad switches off. Then wait a minute or so (till the Apple loge is from the screen) then switch on again. Also delete all open apps, by pressing the home button twice and swipe all apps up. This will clear the memory and make the running app more reliable.

I have an iPad 2 that suddenly started to freeze up. When it unfrozen on its own after a few minutes, it suddenly went crazy, hopping from app to app very quickly and typed things on some apps and la

I guess, by reading your question, that the iPad 2 have the latest IOS (9.3.5). Most of this problem are related to the IOS firmware, it is simply terrible for a device with just 512mb. of memory. Next time it freezes, just press home and power button until you see the Apple logo, once the logo is display, let go of the buttons.
