If you have already tried a different cable and it didn't work, then the issue might be with the bass drum pad itself. You can try the following steps to troubleshoot:
  1. Check the connection: Make sure that the cable is firmly plugged into both the bass drum pad and the module. If the connection is loose, the signal may not be transmitted properly.
  2. Check the sensitivity setting: Check the sensitivity settings on the module for the bass drum pad. It is possible that the sensitivity is set too low, and the pad is not registering hits.
  3. Check the pad: Check the bass drum pad for any visible damage or wear. It is possible that the trigger inside the pad is damaged or malfunctioning.
  4. Reset the module: Try resetting the module to its default settings. Sometimes, this can fix issues with individual pads.
If none of these steps work, it may be necessary to open up the pad and check the trigger mechanism inside. If you are not comfortable doing this yourself, you can take it to a repair technician.

The bass (kick) drum pad is not working. When i plug the kick cable into the kick pad, it does not project a sound when I strike it. I know the cable works because i tested it in the other drum pads, and...

If youve already tested the signal path and it works then your likely just dealing with a bad piezo inside the kick drum. The piezo is actually what detects the trigger. You could probolly replace it yourself it not hard typically just 2 solder joints but you'd have to buy the piezo. Call the manufacturer they should provide you with whomever distributs their parts locally to you.

Make sure you have the ORIGINAL power adapter for this unit. It should say PA150 on it and provide 12 volts at 1.5 amps (1500ma). I am not sure of the polarity, but if the part number matches, you have the right one.

Here I've listed valuable reference information on bass drum tuning and achieving the lowest pitch possible. Some things are trial and error but once you fully familiarize yourself with drum tuning you should be able to achieve the sound you want. Hope this helps.

The sound on all the stock kits I found to be too low. What I did was create a custom kit and altered the dynamics of all the pads and cymbals - once you're in the dynamics settings, just hit the pads/cymbals the hardest you normally would and save that setting!

Very littel sound in white and black keys. normal

We can only guess at what model/brand you have.

OFTEN such low volume things can be traced to a burned out light used in some expression pedals that use light dependent resistors to vary the volume.

Be aware that on some organs things like rhythm drums MAY go through a different set of speakers and amps than the other voices.

Yamaha DTXtreme IIS Drum Moduel repair

Listen to the output with headphones to check for noise.

OFTEN the output of a drum machine is CORRUPTED by an inadequate sound system. The waveforms generated by a drum machine tax the sound systems. A bass drum output can drive the speaker cone such that it goes beyond the linear range that the speaker and amplifier can handle and this appears as "noise". The noise may sound like a buzz or totally break up.

Turn the volume down and see if EXACTLY the same noise appears at low levels. If not, then saturation of the amp and speaker is likely. Continued use while it is doing that will often destroy the speaker.

Alesis-sr 16 sound low

Buy the correct adapter that matches the voltage AND current requirements of the unit. MANY universal ones do not and the original MAY have built in filter that universal does not.

You MAY also need to do a factory reset on the unit.
