Where does theLG A340 GoPhone store SMS messages?

Does this phone store the SMS messages on the SIM card? Or does it store them internally? If it does store them internally, can deleted messages be recovered? If they can be how would I recover them?

A lot will depend on which make and model phone you have got. But you will have to download software from the internet specific for your phone type and install on pc. It is not possible to copy text messages that are stored in internal phone memory to an SD card. None of the phones come with a standard tool for the operation of transferring messages to pc.

I recently got the sciphone i68 4G and when I put my straight talk SIM inside the phone I can't make out going calls.. What can I do about this problem????
Straight Talk sim cards are much like net10 or tracfone sim cards as in they are "phone specific" sim cards. Meaning those cards are coded to work only on the phone they come with. If you wanna go the pre-paid route I suggest you get an at&t gophone sim or tmobile prepaid sim. Both are available at their respective stores. *quick tip* If there isn't an at&t store close to you, you can pick up a cheap $10-$20 gophone at wal-mart or such store and swap sims after activating the "real" at&t phone.

How do I download my text messages from an HTC Wildfire phone to a PC, so that they are not lost when I change to a new SIM card?
Messages in phone are not lost when you change your SIM card but if messages are stored in SIM card, you can copy then to phone.
To copy SIM messages to phone do the following: 1. Open Messages 2. Press Menu and select settings. 3. Scroll down and select "Manage SIM messages" 4. Select Messages in SIM and copy or move to phone memory Now when you change your SIM, these messages will remain in the phone
But, if you mean changing the phone, download a simple program called SMS backup & Restore. It will backup your messages to memory card in a file. You can save the file on pc and restore your messages to other phone when you change your phone.

I would like to know if i deleted my messages off my nokia 6790 can i retrieve them
In order to recover an SMS, you need to understand how they are deleted. The SIM card has a special file where the SMS are stored, the file has several "slots" in it, each slot holds a message. The number of slots is finite, i.e. a SIM card can store 20 or 25 SMS (depending on the capacity, newer cards have more slots). When all the slots are filled, you have to delete an old SMS before you can save a new one. So yes, you can retrieve recent messages IF you have a sim card reader and the proper software like SIM manager or somthing along those lines.

Unfortunately the phone doesnt support more than 60 SMS messages. One alternative way is to store on the SIM. If your mobile operator supports you can store another 60 more SMS messages in the SIM card.

Hello,

Mostly, messages can only be stored on either the phones memory or the sim cards memory, if your sim cards memory is full you will receive a warning each time you are about to receive a message.

Then you can select the option of where you want your messages to be stored either phone or som.

To move your messages, got to the message, select move from the options, then you select where you want the messages to be, then you select the memory card.

Some of this phones do not come with the option for you to save in memory card, but you can move them to either your draft, outbox or saved items.

My pantech slate isn't allowing me to send texts, It says text message full but everytihng is empty How to i get it to work??
First make sure your outbox for txt messages has been cleared.

There's 2 different places SMS messages are stored. When they get to your phone, they come in through the SIM card. Then the phone reads it off the SIM card. Some phones delete the messages off the SIM card after the phone reads them, some leave them on the SIM card.

Look around in the options for SMS messaging on your phone for something related to this.
