I have cancelled many things on Amazon, but not a digital order. You should be able to go into your Amazon account and cancel that order. I don't know how they would even process a kindle book if you don't have a device.
The device cannot be fixed.
Your information is another matter. Any book, music or app you bought will still exist in the account. Also, ANYTHING sent to the cloud will still be there.
All else you put on your Nook is gone unless there is a copy on a PC where it was originally.
If anything was transferred to a SD card, it is still there.
Assuming you have the kindle app on your Samsung and the device is registered to your account, when you send a book to your device it should show up on your device shortly after your device is connected to the network. Just launch the kindle app and find the book.
Hook your kindle fire to your computer. When the auto play window appears click on "view files". When your kindle hard drive files appear then look for the books file on your kindle. Click on the books folder then copy and paste them on your desktop then unplug your kindle. Plug your wife's kindle in then do the same to open her books folder then copy and paste the books from your desktop into her book folder.
Where do you live?
If you live in the UK then you use amazon.co.uk
If you live in France then you can use amazon.fr or amazon.com
You can buy phisical things anywhere. ebooks can only be purchased in your home territory for publishing/legal reasons.
You may need to go to Manage My Kindle and check where you Kindle is registered - if it is registered in the UK then that is why - change that to France if you live in France.
The easiest way is to enter in the 'Menu' and select 'Go to Kindle Store' and buy them directly from there - they wil be sent wirelessly to your device.
If you managed to get books in files, with the extension .MOBI, .PRC, .AZW or .TXT, you can connect your Kindle to your PC via its USB cable and copy them to the 'Documents' folder of your Kindle
