SOURCE: JVC GM-P420E Plasma no video green screen

the problem is with the micro processor on the back of the fx-1169a board (gm-p420ug) this is the board the inputs connect to . yours may be a diffrent p/n due to yours bein a "e" extention model. to repair this problem you need to remove the processor from the socket, remove the socket from the board and solder the processor onto the board. the processor is ic002 on the back side the problem is thermal in nature due to cold solder joints on the socket. i have fixed this problem many times by using this method.

I have a JVC RX-7010V AUDIO/VIDEO CONTROL RECEIVER. And I can not get it to hook up to my TV for surround sound I have to hook it up through my headphone jack on my TV.

On the back of the JVC receiver, there should be a TV input, Coax IN and OUT or AUX input (I don't remember if this model had HDMI). On the back of your TV, there should be an AUDIO OUT, connect this to either the TV or AUX inputs and make sure on your TV, to set the Audio Out is On in the TV menu. Turn on JVC and set input to TV and adjust volume. Another way is using the COAX input and outputs. Connect Output of cable box to Input of JVC, then connect Output of TV to Input on TV.

Blank screen

Any error message about inputs? Maybe that clicking sound happens when iit connects to the selected input, but nothing is connected. Can you scroll thru all the inputs? If so, turn on any devices connected to the JVC and scroll thru each input to find the one you're looking for.

Which button on the remote control is for switching from TV to AV (VCR)?

The TV/Video button on the original remote for the KDL-26S2000 should let you cycle through the inputs on the TV. This button is at the upper left of the remote. (However, if you have set the system to Skip inputs, you may need to remove the skip option.)

There is also a TV/Video button on the front of the TV. It's the second button from the left on the panel (it's just to the right of the menu button).

To reset the input list, press Menu and navigate to Settings. Select the Setup sub-menu and then select the Label Video Inputs. Give the input any label other than skip.

Some TVs work best if the TV is turned on and set to that input source before you turn on the source device.

For additional information and pictures of the menus, see the manual. It is available from Sony support: http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/model-home.pl?mdl=KDL26S2000&template_id=1&region_id=1&tab=manuals#/manualsTab (see the Manuals, Specs and Warranty tab). The direct link to the manual is http://www.docs.sony.com/release/KDL40S2000.pdf .
I hope this helps.

No Video Signal - Black screen with Blue Bar that reads "No Video Signal". Eversince we got a new HD reciver to view our new Toshiba 40" tv in HD, we have been having this issue! Lately it...

One of the things an HDMI connection does is allow the TV and equipment to talk back and forth to each other. When you turn the TV off it ends this connection but when you turn it back on, it doesn't communicate correctly. The analog inputs don't do this that's why when you change inputs and go back to HDMI it works, because the TV reestablishes that connection. You didn't list the model of the TV but go to "http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/home.jsp" and click download. Enter the TV you have and click "GO". A list of downloads comes up and your TV may have a firmware update for it. There is instructions on how to do it. Even if this doesn't fix this problem, it is still good to do to avoid other problems. Another solution is to use component (Red/Blue/Green) cables. The highest resolution they support is 1080i, HDMI is 1080p. Depending on the model of your TV and what your watching though, you might not see a difference. TV2 will never have this problem because it is not connected through HDMI.

HDMI input failure

Hey guys, had the same problem. Found this solution on the web. Worked for me.

JVC HDMI Port Fix

Turn the TV on, and enter the Service Menu. Select 2 for Self Check. Then turn the TV off, and after the fan turns off, unplug the power cord. Reconnect the power cord, turn the TV on, and the HDMI port is reenabled.

Here’s how to get to Service Menu:

Before entering the SERVICE MENU, confirm that the setting
of TV/CATV SW of the REMOTE CONTROL UNIT is at the
"TV" side and the setting of VCR/DVD SW of the REMOTE
CONTROL UNIT is at the "VCR" side. If the switches have not
been properly set, you cannot enter the SERVICE MENU.
1) Press [SLEEP TIMER] key and while the indication of
SLEEP TIMER 0 MIN is being displayed, press
[DISPLAY] key and [VIDEO STATUS] key (Fig.2)
simultaneously.
2) The SERVICE MENU screen of Fig.1 is displayed.
3) Verify what to set in the SERVICE MENU, and set
whatever is necessary (Fig.1).
Refer to the SERVICE ADJUSTMENT for setting.
4) Press the [BACK] key to return the SERVICE MENU.

This should work.
