I have a problem with my towels coming out of the dryer smelling good, but leaving a mildew smell on my skin when I dry. This is especially noticeable with brown towels. I can control it somewhat by smaller loads, occasional vinegar in the wash, hot water and extra long wash cycle. My real question is why does this washer do that? My top loader never did. Is there any way to get it to add more water for better washing? And finally, my Bosch has no separate rinse cycle and I wonder what the best way is to rig it when I only want to rinse something.
I had the same problem. An appliance repairman recommended a washing machine cleaner sold at SMELLYWASHER.COM
He explained that the mildew smell from the towels was from detergent/fungus buildup inside the washer. After we got the washing machine smell removed we just had to soak each load in 1 teaspoon of smellywasher cleaner and the smell was gone! We had tried bleach, baking soda, vinegar, washer magic and affresh with no luck!
The problem is your door seal if you close the door after a wash then what happens is the water goes mouldy on the inside of the door seal what you need to do is replace the door seal you will never get rid of the smell without replacing it never close the door after a wash always leave it open to make sure its your seal the easy way is to look at the inner part of the seal and it will be mouldy only thing you can do
