press power, press home button + volume at the same time a menu should appear in top corner , once that shows leave go of all three buttons then with volume press down and when you reach the heading you need press power . YOU DO THIS ONCE YOUR NEXTBOOK 8 IS TURN OFF ( make sure battery is in ).
iPhone
Try holding down the home button and the power button for 10 seconds and see if the Apple icon comes up and it starts.
Android
Try holding down the power button and the down volume for at least 15 seconds and see if it turns on or gives you options. You may have to do a system reset, deleting all your data.
If you haven't done so already, try holding the power button down for a long time (30 seconds+) when you switch it on. If no success, try again but hold down the power button *and* the volume-up button when you switch on.
There should be a tiny reset button or pinhole (use a straightened out paper clip). If reset button/hole itself does not work, try pressing it while holding down the power button at same time. Otherwise, it sounds like you have a battery/charging issue (try another charger cord if available).
my nook tablet shows the green light that it's fully charged but when trying to turn it on nothing happens the screen does not com on or the nook symbol does not light up . can any one help me out here
At frist turn off your smart tab&then press [(Volume+)+home key] on that time you have to press power key again and again.then you get cwm recovery.then select update from sdcard by using vol - key and click it by using home key.then select your zip file which is dwonload you before for root your phone. Try using a paperclip to reset it on the back, hold it in for 5 seconds, if that doesnt work: Turn the tablet all the way off, press and hold the VOL - and power at the same time for 8 to 9 seconds, it will show a green android guy with a system recovery menu. Use vol - to go down to Wipe Data/Factory Reset, press the power button to select it, go down to 'yes' to confirm, press the power button to select it, it will wipe the tablet, you then press the power button on 'reboot system'.
Charge your nexus using the ASUS wall charger that came with your nexus. Once you connect your Nexus to the wall, just push the power button once (do not hold). A battery animation should appear showing that the tablet is charging. Let it sit for a while, then power it up.
