In case your Android smartphone is complete frozen and not responding to you at all, the above restart method won't work for you! To unfreeze Android smartphone that is dead froze, force restart it by holding the Sleep / Power key and the Volume Down key simultaneously until your device's screen goes blank.
This force restart key combo varies from device to device, so it is advised to check your device manual for the right combo. If your Android device has a removable battery, you can remove it and put it again and it will restart the device.
If it is not self recovering after powerdown, you have to reset to factory settings (meas you will losse your apps) to do do this most tablets gets reseted by presing both (Up-Down) volume keys before pressing the power on button.
A text menu will appear asking you the action, you have to choose Factory Settings.
Your Tablet must be poer off before to perform the avobe procedure.

If its freezing up and you have already reset the machine you should call rca tablet support at 1-800 252 6123 or email them at wwwrcatablets.com for information on horw to do a hard reset. this will loose all the apps and saved data but will bring the unit back as if it jsut came from the box, your apps should be saved on your gmail account to re instal. This tablet autimaticaly backs them up on gmail unless you unchecked that box during intitial set up
