What does SUD mean?

SUD means that excessive suds or slow draining were detected. The usual cause for the error are using the wrong detergent, too much detergent or something blocking the pump from removing the water from the washer.

Try pressing Pause/Cancel twice to clear the error and run the washer without any detergent or clothing. If you see suds forming in the washer, run the cycle a few more times. Check your outlet hose for any kinks. If the error persists, you need to open up the washer and check the filter for the pump and the pump itself for foreign objects. (The filter is sometimes called a coin catcher since that is the most common item found in it.) Have a bucket ready to catch the water from the pump and connected hoses. Please post a comment with the exact model of the washer since Kenmore products from different manufacturers do not always have a unique 5 digit model number. With that information, I may be able to give you specific information on reaching the pump.

I hope this helps.

Where is the coin catcher on a frigidaire front load washer?

Good Afternoon Friend,

I understand you want to know where the coin catcher is located. The coin catcher is located inside your washer, at the bottom right-hand side, attached to the drain pump. If you want to get to the coin catcher, I suggest contacting your local authorized technician for assistance. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

Machine wash ok but would not spin to take the water out of the clothe

Usually, this problem is due to a clog in front of the drain pump not allowing water to drain properly.
Remove the front lower panel by removing the 3 screws along the bottom (front).
The large plastic (3") cover of the "coin-catcher" in front of the pump then needs to be removed. It is easily seen facing you when you remove the front lower panel. **WARNING** All the water from the tub will come flooding out. I like to use a shop-vac with the nozzel placed at the bottom of the cap as I unscrew it SLOWLY!!!
The coin-cathcher (lint filter) is part of the cover and you will find it loaded with years of ****.

Washer won't drain, burning smell on rinse cycle. appears to be spinning just not draining

Check the 'coin-catcher'. It's a small compartment in front of the pump. It's supposed to catch all the big stuff (coins, nails, screws, etc) before it damages the pump. Sometimes lint and other items will snag in the coin-catcher and clog it up... Once it clogs, it will not allow enough water to go thru to drain the machine. I would not use the machine until I got it fixed (or looked at by a repairman)... the smell you're getting could be the pump not getting enough water thru and burning itself up....

How do you check if the coin catcher is plugged on a frigidaire ftf2140fs0 washer?

Remove bottom pannel. you will see a black rubber boot.Undo the clamp that connects to the tub. Pull boot down a little and reach the top of the boot with fingers and pull out plastic coin catcher. Clean out and replace.

Washer wont spin

either a bad motor control board or your coin catcher is full of stuff. i would check the coin catcher first. open the front panel and you can see the pump the coin catcher is the part that comes from the bottom of the tub to the pump.Careful when you take it out there will be water in it and you will have to be ready with a towel or shop vac. put it into drain first before taking apart. it will not drain all of the water.
