Water filter gets water but does not feed ice maker or water outlet.

New filter, but I replaced it just in case and 2nd new filter behaves the same way. When I try to fill a glass, I hear the selonoid click and hear the standard buzz but no water comes out. If I try to remove the filter, I get a little spray of water as I remove it, indicating to me it's pressurizing the filter, but not allowing water out. Any Ida's?

Good Morning Joseph,

I see that you are having trouble with water dispensing and ice being produced on your Frigidaire refrigerator, even after replacing water filter, model# ULTRAWF, twice. I would suggest to reset your refrigerator, by either unplugging it, or shutting the power off at the circuit breaker for at least 2-3 minutes. Once power is restored try to get water out of the dispenser. If you are still having trouble with the water dispenser, remove the water filter and replace it, making sure you hear two clicks and the filter is flush with the filter housing. If these suggestions do not work, I suggest contacting your local authorized technician for further assistance.

-Best Regards-

SOURCE: wiring ice maker old ice maker has a 4 square plug

wiring is different and you will probably short out something. this is 120 volts and you could get a shock! leave this to a professional. other wise the only thing i would tell you is compare the electrical schematics from both ice makers to varify power and control wiring.

SOURCE: ice maker is not getting water to make ice

Frequently, the small valve that is tapped into the water supply that feeds the ice maker(usually a water pipe near the unit) becomes clogged.Turn the valve all the way in then out a couple of times. This generally frees the calcium buildup. The water should flow.

SOURCE: Ice maker water freezes before getting to Ice maker

likely you have a bad water valve where the water goes into the fridge. The valve is not sealing all the way and the water is dripping even when it closes allowing the water to freeze up

Ice maker will not work. No water flows into ice maker. What is cost of replacing ice maker? Ice maker is part no. 628370.

If the problem is only that you don't have any flow of water in ice maker then you should check the water solenoid, the water filter if its cogged or water container if it is frozen,
In any case the Ice maker is abot $140

Ice maker not working

Good day,
You'll need to follow the steps below to isolate the problem. It's important that the freezer is at normal temperature since if it goes above 10 degrees the ice maker will lock out.
I will have to assume the filter is passing the water flow properly.

First step is to take a small paper cup of water and fill the cavity until it is near full. With the ice maker turned on, close freezer door and wait 3 hours to see if it harvests. If not, the ice maker is bad, and must be replaced. If the cubes harvest then.......
Three possibilities.
1. The water supply from the house is not delivering water to the water valve. Shut off the house at the meter, disconnect the line going to the water valve, and with the line pointed into a bucket, have someone turn the valve back on for a 15 second count. The water should come out smartly. If not, the line and it's fittings will have to be replaced.
2. The fill tube from the back of the machine that feeds water into the back of the ice maker is frozen up. You will have to remove the ice maker to visually inspect that tube. If blocked, it needs to be defrosted, but use caution. Too much heat too fast will start to melt plastic and vinyl parts you don't want melted.
If this is the case, then once cleaned out, you will have to change the water valve located in the back bottom rear of the machine because it is leaking during the off cycle.
3. If everything checks O.K. up to this point, you will have to purchase and install a new water valve, and install it.
P.S. Under very rare occasions the electric circuity in the ice maker will fail to send a signal to the water valve. Although rare, it can happen, in which case the best option is to replace the ice maker and water valve.

Ice maker stopped making ice

Good day,
Lots of reasons an ice maker will quit. First, if you have a filter system, you could try installing a new filter. If no luck then follow these steps. it should resolve the problem. Be aware the freezer must be at normal temperature to function. If the freezer reaches 14 degrees or warmer, the ice maker, by design, will lock out.

First step is to take a small paper cup of water and fill the cavity until it is near full. With the ice maker turned on, close freezer door and wait 3 hours to see if it harvests. If not, the ice maker is bad, and must be replaced. If the cubes harvest then.......

Ice maker will not fill with water

With ice makers it is almost always one of two things. The ice maker itself, or the water valve (valve is located on the backside of the frig, bottom right hand side almost 100% of the time). Figuring out which one is easy, and I will help explain.

First thing is the frig has to be cold enough for the ice maker to even start working. I'm assuming we have the cold part taken care of. Next, the machine will start a cycle and ask for water. Here is where the valve comes in. The ice maker energizes the valve and it opens allowing water to rush up the back of the frig and into the ice maker. After the ice freezes the ice maker goes into harvest and dumps the ice.

In conclusion, you either have an ice maker that stalled at some point during that cycle (in which case you need a new ice maker). Or the water valve is not opening, thus no water enters the ice maker and you get zero ice.

Quick facts: If you have ice in the ice maker and it is not dumping, you need a new ice maker. If it is empty, you have to either wait for it to ask for water or manually advance the ice maker into cycle so you do not have to wait.

At this point you will hear the water valve energize or not. If it never energizes, the ice maker is not working right, if it energizes and you get squat, the valve needs to be replaced.

If you have experience with a multimeter you could detach the harness going to the ice maker and simply hook up your leads. When the ice maker asks for water, you should get 110v reading on the meter. If you do, the valve is bad and needs to be replaced.

If I can be of any further assistance please let me know. good luck!

Oh, and the valve probably sells for between $50 and $100 depending on where you buy it. The ice maker should run between $100 and $180.

P.S. There is a remote chance the filter needs to be replaced. An old filter can cause water pressure issues and you may not get enough water into the ice maker. However, if you still get water through a dispenser (if you have one) then this cannot be the case.

No water in automatic ice maker, therefore no ice cubes.

Do you get water at the front dispensor, if present? If not check the refrigerator water filter. If you have an RO system feeding filtered water to the fridge, check it's filter. Also there is a solenoid that lets water into the ice cube maker, have a professional check it to make sure its working correctly. Lastly I have had to replace the entire ice cube maker, sometimes they do fail. Replacements can be found fairly easy on the internet.

Frigidaire refrigerator, ice maker

If the ice maker is doing the normal cycle and when calls for water doesn't get any, probably the fill tube to the ice maker is clogh with ice because the dual valve (solenoid) is leaking and this water freezes up clogging the fill tube , or the solenoid doesn't work ,in both cases it has to be replaced(it's located in the back of the refrigerator attached to the water supply line).

I can get water to the water dispenser in my side by side. but it will not make water. It's a Kenmore 22 side by side. I believe the model number is 9522611. We switched the wires on the solenoid and it...

the inlet water valve has a screen on the inlet in the valve which is probably clogged - replace the inlet water valve with a new one, install a ice maker water filter in the water line feeding the ice maker!

Cuisinart dcc-1150 coffeemaker

To replace water filter: Pull water filter holder out of reservoir, snap open, insert new charcoal water filters (can be ordered from Cuisinart or purchased froma store like william-Sonoma)

To clean machine: Run 2 cups water and 2 cups distilled white vinegar through machine like you would normal coffee.

To get rid of annoying self-clean lite: unplug machine from wall outlet for 20 minutes or longer.
