GPX Karaoke Party Machine sound but no words

I think the backlight of your screen is out, which can be complicated. I think it is working but just not lighting up. I'll look this thing up and let you know more later. Please send me a make and model number when you can.

I need a operator manual for a lonestar sk-104 karaoke manchine

I have the same one. and I have had another model also.they are almost the same.If I am correct it is a cassette karaoke player. They take a special cassette that says lonestar super K.these players and tapes were from the 1992-1994.when you hook to the tv, the tv needs to be on channel 3 or 4.the back of the machine should have a switch with 3 &4.make sure both are on the same.on newer tv you may have to figure out the input & output.some say video some say line 1 line 2 etc.my machine uses a cable cord from tv to machine.any tape will play in them ,but only the special ones will put words on the tv. if you use the special tape when you put it in the machine only one side plays.it tells you on the tape.also only one side of the duel cassette compartment will put words on screen.my sk104 is side B.Hope this helps.if you still cant get on screen words,it could be that part of the machine just doesn't work anymore.that is what happened to my other one.

You MUST use SPECIAL Karaoke disks that have the lyrics... Is that what you are using?

How to turn off vocal on Emerson GM527 so that we can only hear the music and sing along.

Note that you MUST use the special Karaoke disks to be able to remove the vocal... it will not do it for plain music CD's. Those devices that CLAIM to remove vocals often do so poorly... they do it by subtracting the left and right channels which ASSUMES the lead vocal is centered between the channels... Those methods don't work very well...

When i put a cd in to play, we cant get the words to show on digital screen??

You MUST use a special Karaoke CD disk to show lyrics on the screen. Plain music CD's will play music but NOT display the lyrics. Karaoke disks can be expensive... so shop online for Karaoke CD's. Some music stores, including Costco and other warehouses sell some Karaoke disks, but they are usually in a very small section of the displays.

I just received a GPX JM250S Karaoke Party Machine. I have not tried a actual Karaoke CD yet. I plugged ipod in. Problem is- music is playing, then when I speak into mic music stops playing. There is no...

The music to sing along with apparently MUST come from a disk played on the unit. It appears that the external audio jacks are just to use the unit as either a boombox or to drive a larger sound system. You will have to convert your IPOD music into a Karaoke compatible CD to be able to sing along with it... They probably detect MIC input and mute any incoming signals from the RCA jack inputs,

I have a Voco Pro Model DVD-Duet. The problem is when you put a cd in the little center knob is stuck down that keeps the cd on tract it looks as if someone has pushed it down and it want come back up so...

It is possible the carriage that the CD goes in does not lower onto the center hub rather than the hub being too low.

The carriages move by a small motor and often there is a belt that slips so carriage doesn't move. Replacing the belt is usually required.

Working on the CD drives is very tender fragile work so you should take this to a repair shop. Contact the manufacturer for a recommendation.
