Turn the set screw all the way in and back it out two turns. Strat the blower, run it up to full power, then adjust to screw until the engine runs best. Turn it in 1/4 turn at a time. If performance does not improve after closing one full turn, go the other direction.

It won't start

How long has the gas been in the Blower?
If it was 10% Ethanol gas( lie most States sell at the gas pump) and it has been in the Blower for more than a few months, you probably have carburetor issues.

Yardman 27cc 445cfm Backpack Blower starts fine, but when I try to depress the trigger for more power it dies. Idles smooth with full choke and dies when on no choke setting. Have had someone say it needs...

There may be a plugged fuel filter in the fuel tank, or perhaps you have the oil mix to rich. other problems could be that it needs a new spark plug or carburetor adjusted.
Try spraying the carb out with carb cleaner, add a little seafoam in with the gas.

What is the carb model # for zr05870, Its a Walbro carb?

From the pictures in the parts breakdown, this appears to be one of the newer model rotary-type carburetors. It is listed as part number 308028001. There is no mention of this machine in the Walbro carburetor application guide however. After viewing the picture and with the prefix of the carburetor known, you should be able to locate it on the Walbro website. I have the link to your machine's parts breakdown and to the Different Walbro models. Please view:

My brand new blower only runs on half choke setting and stalls when I move it to run setting

Hello,
My name is Dane and I am going to assist you in solving your problem.

You will need to adjust the high speed setting on your Carburetor jet. Turning the screw out just 1/2 turn or so should do the trick. It is not so hard to adjust the Carburetor, however you do need a special tool that is very hard to get your hands on, in order to adjust the jet screws. They don't make many engines with plain screw heads anymore. The newer Carburetors are factory set lean so they can pass emission standards. If you have a local dealer, they should adjust the mixture free with a recently purchased unit or for a couple of bucks otherwise. I hope I've helped. Thank you! Dane
