I have a lg viewty touch screen phone, the touch screen doesnt work but i can still see the screen perfectly, do i buy a whole screen or just a lcd part??

try and increase the contrast of the phone. Its too dark or too bright. or the screen saver is set on seconds thus goes on quickly

you can flash the firmware and reload your phones data,if it still doesnt work,itll need a new digitizer

My LG KU990 viewty screen has frozen....meaning...the touch screen doesn't respond when I press it.
I can answer the phone and only call numbers i've already.
Does anyone know how I can fix this
I stupidly did not get it insured

I've turned it off and left it off for some time, taken the sim card out, but this doesn't help. Does anyone have a solution?

This could be an connection problem of your matrix screen. When you open the phone you will see a flatcable with a litte flat cable connected on that cable it could be that the little one isn't fitted well the flat cable is from your LCD screen and the Little flat cable that is fitted on that Flat cable is from the matrix screen (Touch screen).

It sounds like the LCD is broken. The Touch screen digitizer and the LCD are two seperate components, the LCD is the visual part that shows the display and the digitzer is the part that you touch. You can find these parts online and attempt the repair yourself or bring it to a mobile phone repair centre for a professional job.

Try calibrating the screen first.

Menu > Settings > Touchpad Calibration

If that doesnt work, take the unit to an LG Service Center.
Most likely, it's the LCD that has a problem.
