I can't get audio to work on my Samsung UN40HU6950F UHD TV HDMI 1 input using the Time Warner Cable Cisco 4742HDC cable box.

if all 4 inputs work with another input source(i.e. your Motorola box) it indicates the issue is with the TWC input source. Also check your HDMI cable to be sure it is in good condition & properly plugged in on both ends.

Hi-Def TV does not sinc with DISH VIP 922 receiver?

I am lost on ur question, do u mean the TV will not show anything from ur Dish? I always use HDMI cables, quick and easy hook up. now when u use HDMI cable u will need to go into your TV menu or look on the TV (Sanyo, Phillips,, etc) remote and locate the Input, Source, Antenna button. and go the the correct video stream that u have hooked up to on back of ur TV. U should see HDMI 1 HDMI 2 etc choose each one till u get a picture.

I have lost video on my tv - connected via hdmi to denon avr-689 receiver.

Had a similar issue, replaced the receiver three times in first month. The fourth time it had to go back to Denon. They returned it saying no fault. Also replaced HDMI cables etc...real head scratcher. Turns out it was the tv. The system can get discombobulated if the receiver, tv and source are not sequenced correctly. This is due to the HDMI protocol, Power up sequence should be receiver, source tv. Once video is lost it has to be rest. With system powered up and tv displaying no signal, remove HDMI cable at tv. Turn off tv at outlet and leave of for 2 minutes (this rests HDMI port, important to leave off long enough!.). Turn tv on and reconnect HDMi...all should be good. Poor Denon, I blamed them when it was my Sony Braiva all along....bad Sony

While most HDMI sources work with good audio and video, we have a compatibility issue with audio from a few specific products (eg, DirecTV HD DVR satellite set-top box, DISH Networks satellite set-top-box, and TiVo Premiere XL cable set-top-box). If you are experiencing problems with no audio or muted audio with one of your HDMI sources, then please try changing the audio settings on your problematic HDMI source to PCM or LPCM. Then turn off the TV, remote power from the WirelessHD adapters, and power off the HDMI source. Now power everything back on. If you are still experiencing no audio then please write down the model number of your HDMI source with no audio and contact VIZIO customer support.

I'm trying to connect a WDTV to my SAMSUNG LE32R74BDX by HDMI but the HDMI source isn't found by the TV, it simply stays greyed out, should devices like this be plug and play or am i missing something?...

I had the same problem. Had to connect using the composite cable, when to settings, changed it to HDMI. This turn the display on my TV off again. Then plug in the HDMI and it worked!

I also expected it to be plug and play... Hope this works for you...
