I presume you have a box and not a stream stick.Try unplugging ROKU box.Many units have a button you have to push on remote after plugging in ROKU box,this connect Remote to ROKU box.If this doesn't work take out batteries in remote and put back in,this has to be done after you plug in ROKU box.Are batteries weak,try some new ones?

You have to hook up roku box BEFORE YOU PUT IN BATTERIES IN remote.Make sure batteries are making a good connection try rotating batteries or try new batteries.Some ROKU models have a button in remote next to batteries. this has to pushed to connect to ROKU box.

Hi,

If you have a Wi-Fi Roku remote or a bluetooth Roku Remote, the remote needs to be paired with the unit first before you can control the device. To pair the unit with the remote, you can do the following:

1. Turn off the Roku player for 30 seconds by unplugging the power cord from the power outlet.
2. Once you have the bouncing Roku on your TV screen, open the battery compartment of the remote and press the purple button there once.
3. The Led on the remote should start blinking.
4. Leave the Led blinking and don't press any button on your Roku remote.
5. Wait for the Led to stop blinking.
6. Once the Led stopped blinking, try to test any button and see if it works.

Connect the Roku box to your television in accordance with the procedure outlined in your Roku box's manual.

Turn on your TV, and change it to the input channel for your Roku box. Once you see the Roku box's welcome screen, press the "Select" button on your Roku box's remote control.

Select the type of network connection you have (wired or wireless) on the network screen, and provide the necessary information that applies to your network. Once a network connection is established, you should see the activation screen with an activation code.

Visit the Netflix activation website on your computer (www.netflix.com/activate) and log in to your account if asked to do so. Enter the activation code on your television screen into the text box on the activation page. The Roku box will now activate.

Place the Roku box on your TV or entertainment center and plug it into the wall outlet. Connect the box to your TV with the included AV or HDMI cable. Insert the included batteries into the Roku remote.

2 Turn on the Roku and the TV. Press the "Input" or "Source" button on the TV remote until the Roku menu appears. Follow the instructions until the wireless setup screen appears. Use the remote to select your network and input your Wi-Fi network access code, then press "next."

3 Turn on your computer and log in. Start your Internet browser and type "roku.com/link" in the address bar. Press "Enter."

4 Set up a Roku account if your don't already have one. Enter the code that appears on your TV screen to finish the setup process.
