My Asko 6461 washing machine - F3 error message ??
F3 problem, I had the issue on model W6461, however, judging by the amount of F3 issues posted this could work on other ASKO models
If the coin trap in the drain is clear of debris, try this.
Stages as follows:
1) Open drain pump door (bottom left of machine).
2) Remove black pipe and drain residual water.
3) Unscrew coin trap and remove, use a container to hold the water.
4) Leave the container underneath and make sure you have some towels ready (I didn't at the time)
5) Where the washing machine drain hose connects to the outlet in the wall or U bend connector remove this and expose the end.
6) Blow into the drain hose as hard as possible......hopefully the blockage will clear back through the coin trap.
7) Pour some water into the open end and blow this back through the drain as well.
Result:
A large lump of sludge, three of my 5 year olds small counter coins and about a litre of water (all over the floor, don't forget the towels!)
Just ran the machine now and fault cleared.
Good luck

blowing thru the hose, great idea. i did this same procedure with my water pik, except i let it sit w/ vinegar in it then turned it on and sucked on it instead-fixed!
We tried this recently. Did not want to buy a new machine. Worked for first load then failed. Removed plastic water filters inside machine after 12 years. Difficult to remove at first. Full of hard debris. Working like a dream. Had called Askonrep
We opened the filter/drain door, unscrewed and drained water, noticing a large clot of fabric and a small piece of plastic from a ice-coffee cap, removed that and put things back together. everything works fine again!! <3
My Brother and I thanks you <3 you probably just saved him a few thousand :)

Pump problem
Check pump trap and clean.
remove toe panel.. ther is a button trap on the right hand side.twist open then pull out be sure to catch water with some thing...
Hope it helps if Not let me know more about you problem
Spot on ! I have been having problems with this for months. My coin trap and drain pump is broken, and I can't get in at it, but poured about 50 Litres of hot water back through the system, and it has cleared. Got eight years of muck out. Incidentally, this is the first problem I have had with this machine. It seems to be with ASKO machines, if you get a good one, you are laughing. Get a problem, and you will struggle to get it fixed if you are not technically minded. I am in Scotland, and no-one has really heard of ASKO, far less worked on one. I also changed the carbon brushes, for good measure, with parts from Finland. Thank God for the internet. P.S - its a 2 minute job, unscrew the fron of machine, and the parts are in front of you, with two screws for each one.
Absolety correct. Stripped down my machine and replaced bearings have washed a cover from car seat containing a piece of wire that worked it way through. Asko only used the best components in their machines. The waste trap has to be kept clear. The 5p piece gets caught. It was not in circulation when machine was designed - so gets caught in trap.

Just saved $180 callout fee. Same as above, coin trap was clear but still not pumping water out. I tried putting back through the drain pipe but it just over filled indicating a blockage.
Used a wet/dry vac and some tape to join to the drain pipe and sucked that blockage out, filled machine with water and sucked again to clear. Then did reverse and pushed air through pipe (with coin collector open) and out popped a button plus a lot of black tissue/hair etc.
Put the vacuum on such one more time.
Put all back together, filled washing machine extra fill and ran drain mode. Water hasn't flowed that great since it was new. Might do this annually. now.
Thanks for the tips.
While the instructions for troubleshooting the F3/no drain/pump issue were very clean in the manual I did experience one major challenge..the removal of the interior 'plug' to the pin trap. I was not able to get any kind of grip on the white plastic at all. I was gently inserting a flat head screw driver UNDER the lip of the black gasket but could not get the plug to come out...after about 15 minutes mucking about with two flat heads and managing to scrape out a few coins I realized that the plug was eased out about a quarter of an inch. Using two flat heads on either side (i needed to put something under them at the pivot point to get proper leverage) the plug did come out. For anyone trying this : 1. The interior portion of the plug is an @ 3in long cylinder. 2. The black gasket IS a part of this so if you pry , pry under that. 3. It does NOT screw out, it just pulls and is tightly fitted. It was an exercise in patience. The reward was $5.17 cents in change that was TOTALLY jamming and blocking the pump/drain. running a load now in hopes that this has solved the issue!
