Check on line, they may have a updated version of the driver.

what is wrong with my suggestion?

I suggest you get on Internet and check the manufacture to see if they have newer driver, so the hardware will work.

what do you think I am talking about?

or you didn't understand waht I mean "online"!

  • Anonymous Jun 19, 2009

I don't see how I get a inappropriate rating for what I told you. You should have stated that you already try to look on the Internet and the manufacture site. I would have suggested some other method to solve you problem.

Since you have decided what I have suggested as inappropriate to your problem, there is no need for me to suggest any other methods.

"you get what you pay for" that's what I say.

Just remove the tv tuner card from the motherboard and reinsert it into motherboard.

Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39) I have the same problem with my tv-tuner avertv on vista x64. But given solution does not help -...

Well I'm glad it sounds like you fixed it.. Just so you know you have Restore, computer still with Windows Vista Ultimate, and if you do have the FULL VERSION Vista on a DISK, you can reinstall it over and over again, I have... I find that because I use my computer so much, that every 7 or 8 months I do a clean reinstall, to make sure that my virus program hasn't missed anything, and to protect what I do with my computer system too. Its a pain, but it keeps it working pretty good.

Windows vista

Hi,

Appreciate the direct "Ask me" again and likewise the previous ratings.

To my knowledge, Vista x64 is just an x32 with 64 bit addressing. Some have reported that 64 bit on a Core 2 Duo isn't a very good idea with the extra speed gain of x64 over x86 being marginal for now. Offhand, you might be better off still with X32 at least for the time being.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

what is telling me that the hardware is not comparable with you pc.
go to the vendors' web site download the driver and the application software.
open the pc and re seat the PCI card or relocate it to a different slot. install the software.
if it still come up as "fail to initialize hardware" then you need to located the "older" driver for the PCI card.
make sure you un-install what ever software you don't need. there will conflict if you don't
