I have a Bosch Exxcel front loading washer dryer and can't remove the detergent drawer to clean it, plus all washing cycles take well in excess of 2 1/2 hours to complete. Annoying

I have a Bosch Exxcel front loading washer dryer and can't remove the detergent drawer to clean it. I've tried the recommendation in the manual and also looked through this site. Any ideas? also, the same machine, irrespective of whatever wash cycle you put it on, the washing process lasts for well in excess of 2 1/2 hours and sits at 1 min for ages, its very annoying. Can anyone point me in the right direction of a possible cause? Thanks

Normal wash loads do not take over one hour, but you have to set them on clean any stain option and it will take 107 minutes to wash.
It sounds to me like your washer needs servicing by a trained Bosch serviceman, because it should not do this.

SOURCE: Miele washing machine model W713 front load - issues

If it is leaking from the waste pump area it may be blocked by a small piece of clothing like a sock or something similar! This will also cause it to take too long to complete a cycle. Remove the rubber hose onto the waste pump and check inside the hose and the pump, make sure the pump spins freely and that nothing is stuck in the hose pipes leading to the pump

SOURCE: fabric conditioner drawer does not empty

The inlet to the conditioner compartment is probably blocked.
Get a thin piece of flexible wire and make a right angled bend on the end about 1" long, and poke it into all the holes u can see in the top of the dispenser compartment, particularly the ones at the front right side.
This should solve the prob.
Plz rate this solution .
Thanks

SOURCE: Fabric softener stays in drawre

We just had a tech come out to fix this problem for us. Essentially, the problem is that the fabric softener builds up and gets clogged. He cleaned out a solid hunk of frabric softener gunk, and suggested that we dilute our fabric softener with water to keep this buildup from happening again.

SOURCE: bosch exxcel wf02465 wont spin

We had similar problem, with the spin cycle not working. We opened the 'drain' pipe (front-right bottom side). It was full of lime scale; never been opened for years. We cleaned it up and the spin cycle is now working.

I have an bosch exxcel verio 7speed perfect washing that keeps showing the suds sign on every programm. ive cleen the pump, pipes and blownbut it keeps comimg up

The suds sign on your Bosch Exxcel Vario 7 Speed Perfect washing machine indicates that there is too much foam in the wash. This can be caused by using too much detergent or using the wrong type of detergent. Here are some steps you can take to try to resolve the issue:
  1. Reduce the amount of detergent: Check the detergent packaging for the recommended amount of detergent to use and reduce the amount if necessary. Overloading the machine with detergent can cause too much foam to be produced.
  2. Use the right detergent: Make sure you are using a detergent that is designed for use in front-loading washing machines. Using the wrong type of detergent can cause excess foaming.
  3. Run a rinse cycle: Run a rinse cycle without adding any detergent to help clear out any excess suds.
  4. Check the detergent dispenser: Make sure the detergent dispenser is clean and free from any residue or build-up that could cause excess suds.
If the problem persists, it is possible that there is a problem with the pressure switch or the control module of the machine. In this case, it is recommended to contact a qualified technician to diagnose and repair the issue.

Hi, I have a Bosch Exxcel front loading washer/dryer, the kind with the electric program panel on the front. Recently the softener section of the detergent drawer is full of water after the washing...

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

I hope you don't mind me saying so but often the softener dispensing siphon tube gets missed when cleaning the dispenser 'cos it's difficult to see!----------->
It will normally have some sort of cover over it which you must remove to expose the little stuck up pipe/tube. On some models there is just a small individual cap over the tube. The tube is down which the conditioner and water should siphon. It is likely to be blocked by 'gunge'- a mix of powder and conditioner. The whole of the tray, particularly this pipe and the bit which fits over it, must be completely clean and clear for it to operate correctly. It is worthwhile checking fairly regularly.

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

Machine not taking in fabric softener . Have cleaned drawer & surrounding area .

Check the outer soap box - Remove the top panel, usually screwed tight at the back of the machine by 2 screws. After removing the panel, you should see the big detergent outer box, remove its top panel and clean the small water holes at its reverse. What happens here is these holes also get blocked and by unblocking these holes you will allow water to get through.
Good Luck

Fabric conditioner section in draw always full with water after cycle has finished

Detergent drawer is clogged with soap. to remove look for small plastic clip on the inside above the detergent drawer which needs to be released. Remove detergent drawer unit and wash thoroughly under running water, or bucket. Replace and problem should be solved until it gets clogged again.

I have a dirty rubber inner Bosch Maxx 1200 Front Loading Washing

First clean around the rubber with some mould and mildew cleaner for bathrooms - available from most supermarkets.

This is a natural accumulation of waste detergent, fabric softener, fibres and dirt build up that is being attacked by bacteria and eventually decomposes into a sludge / goo and then eventually starts smelling bad as well.

To keep the machine clean of waste build up and to keep any bad odours away:

1. Remove all items from the washer.
2. Open the dispenser drawer and 2/3 cup (160 mL) of liquid chlorine bleach to the bleach compartment. DO NOT use more than 2/3 cup (160mL) of bleach per cycle as this will lead to product damage.
3. Close the washer door and dispenser drawer.
4. Select the Clean Washer cycle or a full wash cotton 104 F wash (40 C). DO NOT use any higher temperature as this will cause unnecessary fumes
5. Press Start and allow cycle to complete.
6. After the cycle is complete, leave the door open slightly to allow ventilation and drying of the washer interior.
7. Repeat the cleaning procedure monthly

The pump on the Bosch WFB 2000 front loading washing machine doesnt seem to be pumping all the water out, it leaves about 40mm of water in the drum. It though pumps and seems to be working, as it does pump...

  1. Check the filter is clean.
  2. Check that the outlet pipe is completely clear of debris and soap / detergent scum.
If this does not cure the problem then it may be there is soimething trapped in the water pump or thst the pump is actually defective which will mean a new pump is required.

To keep the machine clean of waste build up and to keep any bad odors away
  1. Remove all items from the washer.
  2. Open the dispenser drawer and 2/3 cup (160 mL) of liquid chlorine bleach to the bleach compartment. DO NOT use more than 2/3 cup (160mL) of bleach per cycle as this will lead to product damage.

Bosch conditioner drawer

This problem is caused by the compartment not filling up sufficiently to start the siphon action. First ensure that the drawer is clean, especially the siphon tube then, with the drawer removed, check the top of the compartment. You will find various holes that let in the water, make sure these are clean and not blocked with mould. Clean out with mould remover and wire then run a cycle with no washing or softener/detergent in the machine.
