I try to record and in a few minutes I will get a message "memory full". I know it could not be because it was hardly on. There is nothing on it either. Can you help me? (VuPoint DV-DM1_VP)

The camera comes with only 32mb internal memory. In high resolution that will get you about 4 minutes of video if you're lucky. You need to install an SD card of up to 1GB. 1GB in low resolution will give you 5 hours of recording, high resolution about 90 minutes. When you first turn on your camera, there is a counter in the top right of the screen which tells you how many HH:MM:SS you have left in memory.

My echostar HPT-61OR-GB only records intermittently, and when it does record, the recording only lasts a few minutes. Any ideas.

It sounds like the hard drive is failing. Try unplugging it from the power for a few minutes. When you plug it back in, it should check the hard drive and let you know if there is a problem.

Sony Walkman mp3 NWZ-8143 (4gig) When I was trying to record, the message appeared 'Mem Full'. I deleted a lot of recorded material to free memory but still got the message 'Mem Full'. How can I free...

Save your material to another format, then clear your MP3 and start from fresh again. It's like a hard drive that needs defragmenting sometimes.

It will not let me add videos any more and my memory is not full i still have space

The GoGear allows you to make voice or FM radio recordings and saves the recordings to the internal memory. The internal memory is limited and the GoGear may show the message "Memory Full" when trying to save recordings. When you receive this message, plug the device into the computer and delete any extraneous files or files you no longer want to keep on your device. This will free up memory so you can save more recordings or place additional music files on the GoGear.
.............................................

I recommend you to reset your device If the solution above didn't solve the problem :.

Take a small object like a paper clip and use the edge to stick into the small reset button on the side next to the usb connection .

Or Try [ power + volume up button & hold for 3 seconds ]

..........................................................................................

Your mp3 player has two types of memory in it. The hard drive (where the music and photos are stored) and the Ram (where the firmware and active files are temporarily hosted).

When you soft reset your GoGear, it flushes the RAM, and restarts the operating system (which is why the contents of the hard drive does not get erased).

You can "hard reset" the device, by formatting the drive and resetting it to factory defaults in the Settings field. This is the closest thing to a "hard reset: that's available with an HD based MP3 player.

On Model 1725 get message F1, how do I clear it, etc? John

CLICK HERE for your owners manual in PDF format.

F1 indicates a communication failure with the digital EEPROM (onboard memory).

Essentially you have a paperweight now.

The repair requires a replacement of the memory module, and from all accounts, that proprietary part is not sold.

I would also assert the repair to cost more than another unit (new, or used)

Thanks for using FixYa!!

Memory full message

Hi There

  • Insert your memory card into your computer's reader if you have one. If not, you can purchase a multi-format USB Memory Card reader from Amazon.com or Buy.com
  • 2 Open up 'My Computer'. You should see it under the list of available drives.
  • 3 Check its contents first to make sure that you have the right drive.
  • 4 In 'My Computer', right-click on the drive and choose 'Format'.
  • 5 Leave all the options as they are and click on 'Start'. This is a non-reversible process so make sure this is what you truly wanted to do in the first place.
  • 6 Once the process is completed, take the memory card out and insert it into your Digital Camera or any other device. Try to browse to it to make sure it works fine now.

    Memory full message

the problem Probably is that the memory card isn't the right kind, so it just records to the "Built in memory". The only way to fix this is to format the Memory card

Recorder says "PLEASE DOWNLOAD FILES," but there are no files to download

The DS-2 has a format option in the menu under submenu. After you choose start you will see a progress bar and it should return to full record time. Use on a MAC seems to cause the reduced record time more often than on a PC.
