SOURCE: Kodak Z700 not firing up

Guest is right. Clean the contacts, bend the contacts with a small flat head screw driver upwards "GENTLY". This should work. Might have to repeat every couple of months. Forget regular batteries. Use the rechargeable ones. MUST be fully recharged.

SOURCE: Kodak Z812 shuts off automatically

It is a high-powered camera, also knows as a GREAT camera. Use CRV-3 lithium duracell batteries. I have the same camera and the same "problem", but when I use that battery it lasts forever.

FIRST CHARGE YOUR BATTERY OVERNIGHT AND THEN REMOVE YOUR BATTERY FOR ABOUT 10 MINS PUT BATTERY BACK YOU HAVE TO ADJUST THE DATE AND TIME AFTER DATE EVERYTHING WILL BE OK BUT IF YOU ARE USING 9 OR HIGHER MEGAPIXEL YOUR BATTERY WILL BE DRAIN IN THREE TO FOUR HOURS.

SOURCE: Kodak Easyshare CX7530 won't stay powered on

SOLUTION: Fot the past two years, fully charged NiMH and new alkaline (generic and fresh Name Brand batteries) in my CX7530 always gave a red light and immediate power off -- symptoms of low batteries. Today I tried it again with the same problem. This time, I folded up a small piece of stiff paper to depress the small Lithium battery module detect switch in the battery compartment, and put my NiMH batteries back in -- it WORKED for the first time in two years! After removing the paper and reinserting the batteries, it still works. I suspect this somehow recalibrates the low battery detect circuit. I hope it helps you as well.

SOURCE: My kodak easyshare V1003 camera will not turn on.

1. Make sure you will install a new or fully charged battery/batteries into your camera. 2. Clean the battery contacts. a. Remove the battery/batteries and the memory card from your camera, then wipe the battery contacts with a soft, clean cloth. b. Reinstall the battery/batteries into your camera. Please make sure that you are installing a fresh/ fully charged battery c. Without the memory card, turn your camera on. 4. Please test with the a different battery If you do not have access to another battery Try these steps instead: Please take the battery out of the camera. b. Insert the charger into the unit from the main socket and turn the camera on. If the camera works you will need to replace the battery. If you camera doesn?t switch on you will need to order a No power repair or a new cable. The camera turns on and immediately turns off. no warning signs!! just stopped working. is there any way i could format it or send it in somewhere? its practically brand new!!

It sounds like depleted batteries. If you've replaced the batteries, then you may want to pursue warranty replacement. A high Mega-Pixel camera like yours will drain batteries quickly.

My lense will not open anymore?

I assume that there is no power on the camera when the lens gets stuck. Please try the following: 1. Clean the battery contacts. a. Remove the battery/batteries and the memory card from your camera, then wipe the battery contacts with a soft, clean cloth. b. Reinstall the battery/batteries into your camera. Please make sure that you are installing a fresh/ fully charged battery c. Turn the camera on. 2. Without the memory card, turn your camera on. (If it works then it?s your memory card that is faulty) 3. Please test with the a different battery If you do not have access to another battery Try these steps instead: Please take the battery out of the camera. b. Insert the charger into the unit from the main socket and turn the camera on. If the camera works you will need to replace the battery. If you camera doesn?t switch on you will need to order a no power repair with KODAK or a new cable.
