Can I use a 16GB card in the S700 camera
No. The S700 works with MMC and SD cards, which top out at 2GB.
You'd better do not do that because some memory cards are incompatible with camera cards. The transfer may lead to data loss problem. If you have not done this, please don't do it. But if you have already done, you can still use recovery tool to recover your data. One condition is that your data has not been changed. 4Card Recovery software is a good one. You can have a try. SOURCE: camera can't use memory card
Use the computer to format the card, then see if the camera recognizes the card. If the camera recognzes the card, the use the camera to format the card so it can save to the card. A computer format will not work in the camera, but may allow it to be recognized.
SOURCE: can't veiw pictures from memory card on camera
Some cameras do not allow a computer to camera transfer. It causes the card to have a different initialization not compatible with your camera. If the pictures are safely on your computer, format the card in the camera and it will be fine.
