47" Vizio Flat screen HD LCD freezes up and remote will not work.

My 47" Vizio froze up the other day on channel 9 and the remote would not work, nor the side controls on the tv to turn it off. TV had to be unplugged and turned back on. It was working fine on all other channels after we plugged it back in but when we switched to channel 9 again the same thing happened and we had to unplug it again. We unplugged the tv 3 times and all other channels were working but when we got to channel 9 every time the tv had no picture and remote or controls would not work. We finally turned the tv off for the evening and when turned back on in the morning was working fine. TV is only 5 months old. We operate from antenna, no cable.

Could it be Ch 9's digital signal is not broadcasting right? what is your refresh rate on your tv? 60 or 120hz? if its 120hz, then its more then likely the digital broadcast, if its 60hz I think its your tv can't keep up with their signal that may be at 120hz. Make since??

I have a Vizio 47 inch LCD HDTV hooked to a Dish system. The volume fluctuates from very loud to very soft between ads and programs. It also goes from moderate volume to very soft within a program. Help!

Either unplug dish from tv or use the antenna side which is HD and program channels and see if volume the same, if not and is OK then it's your Dish bring your sound down or audio cables bad.

Vizio 47" remote

If your manual buttons on the set do not work, then I would return the set. If they do work then contact the store on where to get a warranty replacement remote, or just go back to the store with the remote and see if it works on another Vizio.

SV470XVT Vizio picture freezes

Hello, This seems more like an interface problem then a board issue. Which interface are you using Component Video, HDMI or , RF(F Connector)? If you are using the RF (F Connector) there might be a problem in the tuner including the RF and IF sections on the circuit board. If you are using HDMI there might be a problem in the HDMI Integrated Circuit If you are using componente video the there might be a problem in the video circuits connected to the RCA jacks of the Component video input. If I were you I would have the take the TV back to the shop and have these items checked out, because board swapping is not the proper thing to do. I hope this helps, Thank you, Shuttle83 http://www.electron-age-technologies-llc.com
