I stupidly used my laptop charger to turn on my Boss br1180 and it burnt something inside. When using the correct mains adapter the screen flashes on then off after a sceond I just need to know who i can send it to for repair at a fair price. Or what I would need to do to repair it myself.
I'm not sure which entry will get to you, so... The likely defective part is the voltage regulator. This should be fixble by any shop that handles audio gear. No special test equipment or parts are required. The regulator circuit should be fairly standard and simple. Where are you located so I can recommend a shop? Dan
Go here: http://www.roland.co.uk/warranty.asp and call them for a local repair center. I don't think they will repair under warranty (if its still under warranty) due to the damage being your fault, but they should direct you to a repair center.

this is a job for an advance electronic repair tech...try the manufacturer..next a tv repair shop..then an Audio Install shop...if that doesn't work out..i'll personally try to fix it..for lest than anyone else..its probably the tranformer output circuit overrun..that part of the board or component wil have to be replaced...good luck
