Key mike antenna lite comes on channel 40 and 19 but on channel 1
If you are talking about the AWI light you have a high SWR on channel 40 you want to bring that reading down so you should reset your SWRyou may only be able to get it down to a 2.1 but its better than what you have. and its only a 15% power loss which you cannot tell the difference in without agood set of ears.

your swr setting are off wack fix your swr

Normally the swr should be set on the centre channel so if you have 40 channels you should set it on channel 20. This is because as you move away from channel 20 the swr rises slightly more for each channel away from the 20. If you set it on channel 40 you'll have twice as much swr on channel 1 more than if you set it on channel 20. If the swr metre shows 1:1 (i.e. doesn't move up at all) on channel 20 the rest should be ok since the antenna was designed for CB. You should however check that the needle showing reflected power doesn't go above 2.5

Pay close attention.......IT IS NEVER "NORMAL" ON SOME RADIOS FOR THE SWR LIGHT TO COME ON IF EVERYTHING IS GOOD! The SWR light is a warning light that your SWR's are to high. That light can be wrong because there is an adjustment inside the radio to set that light to come on (I have set mine on many radios). You do need to check your SWR's with a meter and it is free at cb shops. If it shows a good SWR, have the tech adjust the setting inside the radio but it is likely that you have a bad SWR and do not use the radio until you have it checked because you will fry the transmit final.
