Do you mean turning off with the remote? For a full reset you need to pull the plug and leave it off for min 2 minutes

The Samsung LN40C630K1F is not MHL compatible. The HDMI port on the TV doesn't understand the signal from the tablet directly. You need an MHL to HDMI adapter: http://www.amazon.com/Cable-Matters%C2%AE-Adapter-integrated-Charging/dp/B00ESM3Q7K/ref=pd_sim_107_2?ie=UTF8&refRID=1A2PE0271GRC99HNF1G9 , instead of an MHL to HDMI cable. Be sure to make sure that the adapter is compatible with your phone. (Not all adapters work with all makes/models.)

Try a reset to this set and check. If it do not help you, its main board is faulty. Contact any service technician. should have a couple of screws holing stand in place. remove screws then lift tv off of stand

its a snap-type plug-in stand, just hold the stand firmly and pull the monitor equally upward, then it will snap quickly....... but a proffessional reminder! Before mounting your SyncMaster on a wall, be sure to plug the two (2) stand holes located at the buttom of the monitor. My Samsung SyncMaster 2333HD LCD TV was twice intruded by adult-size lizard, both incident resulted to main power board damaged!!!!
