To delete a photo, go to your Pictures Library. Find the photos you want to delete. Then, just lightly touch the photo and swipe your finger down a little. This will select that photo, you will see a check in the upper right corner of the photo if you did it right. You can continue to select as many photos you want in this way. You will see the option to Delete at the bottom of the screen as soon as you select the first photo. To deselect the photo, just swipe it down again.

To delete a video, go to the Videos folder located on your Desktop and open it up. You can then select each video like you did for the photos. To unselect it, just touch the check mark which is on the top left corner. When you have finished selecting all the videos you want to delete, just click on the big red X on the top toolbar.

One note though - my directions are based on Windows 8.1, so make sure you have installed all your updates.

Hope this helps!

While in the "Camera" app If you swipe in from the top or bottom of the screen you can select "Change Camera" to change to the rear facing camera to take "selfies".

If you pull the whole "Camera" app towards the right you will be able to cycle through the pictures you recently took. Swiping in from the top or bottom will again bring up a menu with an option to delete on it. If you want to delete pictures you took in the past then you go to the "Photos" app and do the same thing.

Can not figure out how to switch camera to face out instead of in "selfie" mode

Start the camera app.

Somewhere on the screen should be an icon to switch to video and an icon that looks like a camera with an arrow below.

Tap the camera with the arrow icon.

How do i get my RT to boot

Here are the steps to go back I factory setup. It will remove everything personal you have on the Surface - photos, docs, etc. They will still be in the Share drive if you utilized it for storage.
  1. Restart the device made for Surface.
  2. Press F8 during the initial BIOS post to bring up the Advanced Boot Options screen.
  3. On the Advanced boot options screen, use the arrow keys to highlight Repair your computer, and then press Enter.
  4. Select a keyboard layout, and then click Next.
  5. Type the user name and password of an administrator, and then click OK.
  6. Under System Recovery Options, select Reinstall Windows. This option will restore Surface to the factory image, and any customized user information will be lost.
  7. When the restoration of the factory image is complete, the device made for Surface will restart, and the setup process will begin. This process is identical to the first time you set up Surface; you will be guided by a series of prompts and dialog boxes.
One more note - if you deleted the restore folder to save drive space this will not work. You'll need to take to tech support.
Good luck.
