Playing bluray through xbox one on toshiba TV

When I try to play a bluray through my xbox one on the Toshiba tv a message comes up about using another tv input or the Hdcp rights management not being supported. The only 2 inputs that the xbox cable fits are the HDMI ports. Neither of these work for the bluray.

The formats that Xbox 360 supports include: MP4, M4V, MP4V, and MOV. So all you need to do is find a proper Blu-ray ripper that can help you convert Blu-ray to MP4 or other supported formats.
Here's one that's been getting positive reviews from users: Leawo Blu-ray Ripper.
It supports a lot of different formats, including the 4 formats that the Xbox 360 supports.

Make sure the display resolution is set correct for your TV,
How to change the display resolution for your TV on your Xbox One...
Also make sure the TV is on and set to the correct HDMI input before using the Blu Ray.
It is also possible the TV does not support HDCP, if not, it will not work with the XBOX one Blu Ray. You may be able to use the Component (Red Green and Blue) cable though.

Any HDMI cable manufactured in the last couple of years should all be HDMI 1.1 compliant, your problem is most likely the logic board in the TV itself or the HDMI connector on the logic board has a bad connection..

Have you tried hooking-up a standard DB15 VGA cable to the AKAI TV and your laptop?

If this works your problem is in the TV and will most likely have to be repaired to receive the HDMI signal since your Panasonic DVR and your laptop are not recognized by the HDMI input on the TV.

Good luck!

SOURCE: Toshiba REGZA 37AV500A LCD TV

Does this happen with all the HDMI inputs. If only the one then jack is bad. Replace the main board. If on all HDMI inputs see if replacing the cable helps.

My blue ray player wont play on my toshiba p505-s8980

How are you connecting it to your computer? I ask because my 1st thought would be that if it is by way of HDMI the problem is probably because your computers HDMI is for picture & audio out not in. the other piece of info needed is, are you using a proper blueray player that you would typically hook up to a TV or just a bluray disk drive that you connect via USB to burn and play disks.

Hello, The problem could be dirt on the surface of the lens, you can clean this by removing the cover of the dvd player . Gently use a dry cotton bud to clean the lens because the lens is fragile. Insert the disc plate into the dvd player and press play, if it does not play try the second method. Ensure the cover of the player is open, connect the power plug to the mains socket and observe the lens if it beam a red light, Also check the ribbon cable use to connect the lens to the printed circuit board, then gently clean the lens with a dry cotton bud , insert the disc plate and press play to see if it play. If it does not play the disc, then this require a change of the lens

I called toshiba (the television manufacturer) and they told me that the tv recognized the devices and then adjusts to the resolution according to the device of where its receiving the signal (HDMI).In this case my blu ray was not set to the 1080i resolution. Yesterday I set it up and BAM there it was.

You have to go into the blueray player menu and select the type of output. And, yes the display on the TV will automatically indicate the type signal it receives from the source.
