TV volume very loud at power on - Samsung LNT5265F 52 in. LCD HDTV

I unplugged my TV for 5 minutes after 5 minutes I pressed the Power button on the side of the TV not the power button on remote for a full minute. Plugged the TV back in, pressed the power button and it turned on. Doing this essentially does a reset.

Hi - Your Home Theater System and your TV should have separate volume controls. You should be able to control each individually. Start by checking the volume level on your TV with your HTS shut-off. Turn the volume on your TV all the way down to 0.

Next, turn your HTS on and check the volume level there. Is it still loud? If so, try turning the volume down on your HTS. That should do the trick. If you have the tv signal coming from the cable box, then check the settings for your cable box. if not check your owners manual.

On the TV-use your finger to adjust the volume level, about midway, then use the remote to shut off the tv, then turn on tv with remote. Volume level should be better! If still not loud enough...using your finger on the tv...turn up volume & repeat remote steps.

have someone check speaker ground to the TV chassis. Your speakers are picking up reverb from the Video Signal.

Very likely the volume setting on your cable is set too high. The cable volume is separate from the TV volume. Once you lower the cable volume, then you can adjust your TV volume to find a happy medium that gives you more range between numbers. Have you already tried this?

If you use a digital cable box, it could be that the volume on that isn't turned up all the way. I didn't even realize the box had volume controls until 2 years after I got it...makes a HUGE difference now

I'm guessing power supply problems fluctuating, or main control board.

I found that the problem was also with my HD box. I was able to turn the volume up on the box.

try this..turn off ur tv by remote,press mute followed by 187 then power,if this work u shall see reset underneath the sub menu goto reset..the tv must turn off and on.donot explore other u might kill your tv!!
