SOURCE: Canon A95 gone dead

I ain't so lucky I'm in the UK too!!!! Generally speaking the cost pf packing, shipping repair, at any level is well on the way to the price of the next more recent higher specification device. Judging by the way the Megapixels go up by the week seemingly, settling for a replacement camera is usually the best option. I had a cheap[old] Fuji come my way because it had gone blurred and blue - sure sign of a CCD failure as this was at some time the subject of a recall for the problem I checked out Fuji Their response was to say no longer repaired but has a 1/3 off a new camera when I quoted a reference number. That seems to be the way to go.

SOURCE: canon powershot g5 - battery charge

Take out the battery and put it back and than recharge again. Some times in case of G5 it happens that the camera battery is not properly charged and the indicator shows that its fully charged (i.e. Green light) In such cases battery need to be taken out and than put back again and recharged

SOURCE: camera was working fine...all of a sudden,it would not turn on...thought maybe battery was dead, tried to recharge it,light would not go on,tried another charged battery, still would not work

This error is either a flash circuit or a lens error. One of the two need replacement.

SOURCE: Canon powershot SD1300 IS won't turn on, even

Things to check first for a camera that won't turn on are battery contact points, and micro switches that are located on the battery and memory card doors. Troubleshooting tips on other things that need to be checked may be seen here. These tips won't work for every case, but they're worth a try.

Will not charge or turn on tried several methods still will not turn on got it used

If the camera has been sitting around I would suggest that the battery is dead and will not charge because its been not charged in a long time. Sitting without being charged will kill a battery.

I just recharged the battery on my Powershot SD1300 IS and now it will not turn on. any ideas would be appreciated.

Do you have another battery or set of batteries? The battery itself/batteries could be dead beyond repair. I always carry two sets of batteries. My Canon cam takes 4 AA.

Canon 220ex does not power on

If you're sure the batteries are fresh, the polarity is observed when installing them, and the contacts are clean (use a clean pencil eraser and Q-Tip dipped in alcohol to clean) then you'll need to send the flash in for repair. Don't try to open and repair yourself. Flash capacitors can hold enough charge to kill you, even without batteries or seeming to work.

My sister's camera says lens error . she's gonna kill me if it's broken !!!!

Lens errors are fairly common. Usually it's sand or grit interfering with the lens extension mechanism. Or the camera's been dropped with the lens extended. Or the camera has been powered on, but the lens had been blocked preventing its extension. Or the battery ran down with the lens extended ... Here are some troubleshooting steps that you can try that may (or may not) correct it. They only seem to work for less than 40% of the lens errors, but if the camera is out of warranty (or repair cost approaches that of the camera), they're worth that try. Some of the later steps do involve some risk to the camera, so carefully weigh your options before deciding to conduct them:

I dont know what is going on with my camera, but i i charged the battery and now it wont turn on. i dont think i over charged the batt. because it wasnt on for that long. PLEASE RESPOND SOON i have a...

Rechargeable batteries can and do just die without warning.Sometimes the charger does so as well. The charger automatically prevents overcharging though.

Realistically, all you can do at short notice is to try another freshly charged NB-6L battery. if a camera shop has a display model they might allow you to try their battery in your camera, or more likely, your freshly charged battery in their camera.

It shut down

Try removing the battery and charging it in the charging cradle. If the camera does not turn on after you have charged the battery, it may be that the battery does not hold a charge (you can test this with a simple globe test light).

If this is the case, just go and buy a new battery and charge it fully before using.

It seems there is some where inside the camera leakage.. Are you using Li-ion rechargeable batteries or AA batteries For previously cameras, always comes with AA batteries, and most of the battery are with low capacity.
