My Pentax OPtio M30 will not stay on. Whenever I turn it on, the lense pops out a few times, beeps and then turns back off. I have not daamaged my camera and want to know what this happened suddenly. The camera was fine yesterday when I used it.

this model not support it, To do that, you need to connect to pc and transfer it. As long you inserted the SD card, IT will use memory from SD card and not display image, video from built in memory. if you want to delete file in built in memory, you need to remove memory card.
i had the same problem after letting the battery run very low. when i turn the power on, the camera beeps and turns off after a few seconds, the lens would not extend. i took it to a shop in china and they fixed it for about $25USD. i had the camera for 5 year now but it was worth $25 to get it fixed.
throw it in the garbage and get a less expensive Samsung digimax s500 for less with better quality and features.. What a mistake in purchasing a Pentax. I wrote to Pentax for I had the same problem. Answer, send it in for repairs with a cost if it is not undaer warranty. Not even a hint as to what may be the problem from them! Pentax, No thanks!
