sounds like you need to get into the firewall and go to exceptions. Once there you have to enter the IP address of the printer so it will make an exception and allow the data to get to the printer. You can probably ping the printer, but if it is being blocked it will not allow data.
Another thing to try is to make sure you have the printer setting of DHCP off and set to manual so the address is static, or stable. But with DHCP selected it is not uncommon for Phaser printers to search the network and reset it's own IP address. Have seen that a lot, any reboot or power on power off will change the IP address by itself.
Let me know .

We occasionally experience this also. It also flashes the indicator red/yellow/green when you try to power off. The only solution so far is to unplug the printer, let it cool down completely (next day) and then when you reboot it should cycle properly.

I had an issue of rapidly blinking orange and green lights on my Xerox Phaser 3124 after a power failure. The printer was also making a whirring noise.
Anything sent to the printer just went into queue and my computer said the printer was offline even though it was plugged in,turned on and making whirring noises and flashing lights. When I tried to reinstall the printer driver it said that the printer was not connected even though it was doing its flashing lights, whirring noise thing.
I finally fixed the problem by pulling out the power cord from the machine - I did this when the printer was on and the lights were flashing and the motor was whirring. I then plugged the power cord back in again while the power was still on. The flashing lights immediately stopped and a solid green light came on. I am not saying this is the recommended way a service-person would fix the machine. I am letting other office-girls who need to resolve their printer issues pronto that this solution worked for me.
Before I accidentally discovered this "fix" I spent hours searching the internet for a solution. I couldn't even find what the orange and green flashing lights fault code meant. I'd also tried to get through to the Fuji technical department to no avail.
Note: Other things I had tried before the fix which finally worked were - I downloaded and reinstalled a new printer driver off the Fuji xerox website, I changed the PC port the printer was plugged into, I switched off the powerpoint and printer power switches and switched them back on, I left the printer turned off overnight, I pressed and held the arrow down button down when the printer was on and when it was off, and I searched for info on the Fuji xerox site. I have listed the other things I did in case it was one of these things in combination with my final solution which fixed the printer.
